Derrick and his team were recommended to me by friends and now I know why! He was so great to deal with - so responsive, knowledgeable, helpful and trustworthy! His rates were unbeatable and his work is impeccable. It was truly an awesome experience from start to finish - he went above and beyond several times and the entire process was fantastic and seamless.
Even my neighbours reached out to tell me how impressed they were with the work they watched Gecko do (and some are now going to be having him build their garages too!)

We are not only extremely happy with the quality of our garage, but the customer service and the professionalism has been by far the best customer service we have ever experienced. The quality of work is taken very serious, the entire crew worked so hard. One of the most impressive things that we noticed was that when the crew came to start building I don't think they even needed to say a word to each other as they all knew exactly what they needed to do as if they all had their own role working like a well oiled machine, not to mention, there was not one time they didn't leave the work space spotless before they left for the day. You can tell this team has been working together for a long time which says a lot about both their quality of work and management treating them well.

Derrick was SO incredible with his communication, keeping us updated at every step of the way, very detailed and thorough leaving nothing out. Left us with very little questions to ask and allowed us to simply trust in the process of the build! We LOVE our garage and we would highly recommend Derrick/Gecko Projects Ltd. with a lot of pride knowing we chose them. Thank-you Derrick and Team! Worth every penny!

If you are looking for a garage builder, do yourself a favor and hire Gecko. Every aspect of our experience with Derrick and his crew was fantastic. From our initial estimate meeting through to the completion of the garage, Gecko performed above and beyond. Every stage of the project went smoothly, with no hassles, and no surprises. The communication, workmanship, and materials are top notch.

I have worked in the building trades myself and it is obvious from the start that Derrick and his crew are a well practiced group who come to the site prepared, and ready to work. They are professional, courteous, and even seemed to be quite OK with my almost continuous inspection of their progress. Their building process is very efficient, and the speed with which the garage went up was impressive.

I would recommend Gecko to anyone looking for value, quality and customer service that is well above what is common these days. In fact, I already have, and I can see my neighbour's Gecko garage floor being poured at this very moment.

We contacted Gecko Projects after reading all the great reviews on HomeStars, and Derrick did not disappoint! We had an existing garage that was more like a shed in a tight inner city location, and Derrick came by (during the height of the pandemic no less) and provided an estimate that included everything from demo to new garage. He even provided fencing to close off the yard and some shelving also! We are extremely happy with the garage and the speed at which it came up was impressive. Even the neighbours came by to remark about how quickly it was finished! Would highly recommend Derrick and his team for any new garage build.

Everything about my experience with Derrick and his team was first class. From Derrick's attention to detail with his quote, to keeping me updated throughout the project, to bringing up ideas I never thought of, to having someone back quick to fix the smallest of imperfections. I have OCD tendancies, so for someone to please me that is a tall task. He did that and more. Everyone on his team and all of his subs were super friendly, even with my little nephew's that stopped by one day. Thanks to Derrick and his crew we have a fabulous finished garage in two days. The workmanship and experienced crew were amazing men. From the initial setup to the finished product they were on time, cleaned up as they worked and everyone worked well together. Dedicated to their job. We would highly recommend the company!

We had received some really high quotes for building our garage because we were told that the lot was "tricky" and excavation would be difficult. We heard about Gecko and read their reviews. We thought they must be writing the reviews themselves they were so good but we contacted them. They gave a really reasonable quote, took care of everything (permits, timing, they even managed to keep our dogs corralled during the demolition of fences) and completed it really quickly. We couldn't be happier with the end product and can't believe how easy it was to get the garage done on such a tricky lot with no drama. I cannot recommend them highly enough. And they didn't write this review.

Gecko Projects is hands down the absolute BEST! When we were first discussing having a garage finally built it was a no brainer that we were going to use Gecko for our build as we know of Derrick's work that he and his team have previously done for friends of ours. From the very beginning Derrick has been nothing but awesome to work with. The professionalism throughout the entire process has been fantastic, we also appreciate being able to customize the garage to exactly how we wanted with our special requests. In the weeks leading up to and the start of the actual build we were always kept in the loop as to what was going to happen or happening so not once did we have any questions that weren't already answered nor did we feel that we didn't know what was going on at our house while we were both at work. We appreciate that fact that Derrick was constantly in contact with us at the end of everyday to check in to see if we had any concerns and let us know they schedule for the upcoming day.

We are also extremely impressed with the efficiency of the crew, not only did they go above and beyond our expectations with how quick the build went but with the high quality of workmanship produced...it certainly shows that care and attention to detail is taken by everyone on the project. Everyone was a pleasure to chat with and we also appreciate that fact that our property was never left a mess, cleanup at the end of everyday was impeccable.

We are very happy with our beautiful new garage, that being said you can depend on us for recommending Gecko to anyone we know who is looking for a new garage! Its been an absolute pleasure dealing with Derrick and the entire Gecko team throughout the whole process.
