I had signed a contact with Derek on Tuesday, May 22/ 2012 for the installation of a sliding door. When the installer came on Wednesday he wrote on the contract 6ft standard. This is not what I had agreed on with Derek. I called Derek but his voice mail indicated he is on vacation for 2 weeks. I called Dan to clarify on two occasions and haven't been able to get an answer regarding my contract. I left a message this morning but didn't hear from him. A 200 dollar deposit was made and now I have requested Dan to give the money back either through mail/direct deposit. However, Dan demands that I should pick up the money from his office which is quite a distance from our home. I have given Pioneer alternate payment options which they have chosen to ignore.

- Company Response
On May 31st an email was sent to Mrs. Sharon Saldanha indicating that her deposit will be ready for pick up at the office located at 4610 Dufferin st. It is necessary for Pioneer Windows and Doors to have the client sign a waiver indicating that the deposit was returned and that the job is cancelled. The reason for this procedure is to make sure that the client receives his full deposit and the contract is void. This is company policy and it protects both the company and the consumer. It is unfortunate that Mrs. Saldanha decided to cancel the contract with Pioneer Windows and Doors and by all means we do not intend to keep her deposit and we will be happy to assist her with any future projects.
