The Garage Door Depot

In late October, 2024, I contracted Greg of The Garage Door Depot-Ottawa to reaffix the rear rails and motor unit of my garage door to the ceiling after it had been detached from it during renovations. My early impression from my initial email exchange with Greg was that he is a friendly, respectful contractor that would be easy to work with. And he was. He patiently listened to my questions and requests and gracefully corrected some notions I had, and then proceeded to work quietly and effectively. My garage is oddly shaped, and the layout of joists and strapping is tricky. But Greg managed to attach the door hardware to the ceiling securely and elegantly. Even the signal wires were laid nicely on the ceiling. In fact, things look much better now than before. At the end, Greg adjusted the spring and lubricated the door tooa nice, unexpected extra touch.
