In late October, 2024, I contracted Greg of The Garage Door Depot-Ottawa to reaffix the rear rails and motor unit of my garage door to the ceiling after it had been detached from it during renovations. My early impression from my initial email exchange with Greg was that he is a friendly, respectful contractor that would be easy to work with. And he was. He patiently listened to my questions and requests and gracefully corrected some notions I had, and then proceeded to work quietly and effectively. My garage is oddly shaped, and the layout of joists and strapping is tricky. But Greg managed to attach the door hardware to the ceiling securely and elegantly. Even the signal wires were laid nicely on the ceiling. In fact, things look much better now than before. At the end, Greg adjusted the spring and lubricated the door tooa nice, unexpected extra touch.

One of our garage door openers decided it was time to call it a day. There were problems with intermittent openings and closings and a couple of other issues. Having trusted Greg and Christine from Garage Door Depot in Ottawa in the past, we contacted them about the issues. Greg was very helpful in trying to solve the problems without having to install a new opener. Unfortunately, the suggestions were for naught. I might have been able to replace it myself but recent rotator cuff surgery made it impossible for me to do the work myself.

I sent a text message to Greg and he replied within a very acceptable time frame. The decision was made to replace the defective opener. He sent us a note yesterday morning (21 Oct 24) advising he had a cancellation and he'd be able to install a new opener that afternoon. We agreed. Within a couple of hours, Greg and Christine had installed a new Chamberlain belt drive opener, keyless entry pad and programmed the two remotes that came with the opener. He walked us through what they had done and made sure we understood the features of our new opener. He even helped program the 'Home Link' remote in our Ford Edge.

As with our past interaction with them , this interaction was without complaint. The work was done professionally, promptly and at a very reasonable price. They also ensured the garage and work area was clean before they left.

I have recommended Greg and Christine from Garage Door Depot Ottawa to others and I will continue to do so. Their friendliness, craftsmanship and attention to detail and customer satisfaction is second to none. Deal with confidence.

We had problems from the beginning.capping, inserts, rubber bumpers..they always made an excuse as to why it wasnt their issue and never fixed it. Stay away!!! Ive been years dealing with them and the same inefficiency . Garaga stands by their product but they dont stand by Garaga. They should not be allowed to deal with Garaga doors.

Very satisfied with Garage Door Depot and its service representatives. I have found them to be skilled, good problem solvers and good communicators.

Motor installed: Liftmaster Wall Mounted

Our technician was named Basel. His service was excellent and he was able to install the motor very quickly. Before starting the work he explained everything to me on his scope of work and outlined how long the process would take. After completing the install he provided some basic training on the operation of the motor as well as all the additional safety measures.

The sales and customer service staff was also excellent. Quick and detailed responses with clear options and pricing. Very professional and I appreciated the level of speed responding to any inquiries and then providing a quotation.

Ours is an old house which had a very old garage door which did not seal well at all and was in desperate need of replacement. The garage door clearance is marginal while the garage has an uneven floor which was all a concern to another company we had contacted. Greg at Garage Door Depot had no problem with these issues and did a really masterful installation job. We are extremely happy with our new door how it and the automatic door opener (our first ever) was installed on schedule. We highly recommend the company to others in our position.
