Versatile Renovations

Herb and his team were amazing and went above and beyond our expectations. They are worth the wait and we are so happy with our finished product. They are thorough and pay attention to details. They truly care and are honest, reliable and trustworthy. We highly recommend them you won't be disappointed.

We had Versatile Renovations completed 2 bathroom renovations for us and we couldn't be happier. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. From the first visit when Herb came to the house to give us a quote to the final touch ups, we found all of the staff to be knowledgeable, friendly and professional with a high level of craftmanship. Trista was always available for us when we had questions about timelines, pricing (and even bath tub sourcing), Herb was great during the quote and measuring phases and Mark was amazing to work with.

Through the process of 2 bathrooms, Mark and his team did great work while being as quiet as possible, always making sure that the work site was clean at the end of the day and did their best to accommodate changes or alterations to the original plan. Mark always made sure that we were happy with the progress before moving onto the next step. At times, we asked for something to be altered and we could tell that he was skilled enough to be able to make it happen!

The transformations they made in each of our bathrooms are greater than we could have ever imagined! We have already referred VR to many friends and will continue to do so!

Their work is top quality, they are very responsive, and they truly care about their craft. But what really sets them apart from other bathroom contractors is their quoting process. I really like how their quote is for the labour, waterproofing system, and smaller items and they have the customer purchase the tile and fixtures by themselves (with a lot of recommendations and guidance from Herb or Trista). This was much better than the quote we received from others that included fixtures and tile and everything because we would have had less control over the quality/price of the materials and no idea whether the contractor's markup was reasonable. The way Versatile does it, we were in much better control of our budget and we were able to shop for the exact sink, taps, shower fixtures, glass, and tiles that we wanted and got to take advantage of their contractor pricing at their preferred suppliers (who were also great to work with).

Mark did an excellent job on the installation and was also super nice. He was onsite every day until the job was done that week (unlike some contractors who start and stop jobs depending on their own schedule).

We typically don't do reviews but felt compelled to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Herbie/Trista and their fantastic team ( Mark & Tyler ...) for their amazing work on our new and improved master bathroom. Let me start out by saying we had quotes from three different contractors. Versatile was not the lowest and not the highest. So why did we choose Versatile? We knew we wanted quality work at a fair price completed in a reasonable amount of time by conscientious workers who genuinely cared about the work they were doing. The team showed up on the day they were supposed to and everyday thereafter. Herbie assured us that for what we wanted done it would take two weeks ( excluding new shower glass which was not in his control). It took two weeks! Mark and Tyler were on the job from start to finish. They kept us informed every step of the way. They took the time to explain things when we asked questions and we asked a lot. Bottomline they cared about making us ( the customer) happy. We had a few things that were not to our total satisfaction ( some tile work and a small section of the wall finish). Our issues were addressed without question and to our total satisfaction and within a day or two of requesting!! You will hear a lot about waterproofing ( the stuff you can't see) when Herbie talks about Wedi, listen to him. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend Versatile for your bathroom renovation. Very knowledgeable workers and exceptional work provided. This was our first Reno and we were kept informed from demolition to completion. We look forward to our next project and will definitely be calling Versatile .

BEST company for your bathroom reno needs. They are quick, clean, and the work is top-notch in quality. They address your concerns immediately before and during the renovation process. Herbie & Trista personally oversee the project, whether it be through a home visit for an estimate or phone calls/emails on materials, suppliers, etc. The people working on-site are very nice, professional, and just amazing with the clean-up job. We will definitely be looking up Versatile for our next home improvement project.

Herb and his team Mark and Tyler were fantastic to work with from start to finish! They went beyond our expectations to make sure everything was perfect to make our dream bathroom a reality. They are honest, hard working perfectionist with the right knowledge and skills to make sure everything got done exactly how we wanted. Without a doubt we will be using them for any interior renovation we need done!

Versatile were absolutely great to deal with, from the beginning quote through to the final install of the vanity light. They were exceptionally friendly, courteous, prompt and efficient. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a renovation.

After getting numerous quotes from other contractors in Calgary, we chose Versatile Renovations to renovate our ensuite and main bathrooms. Herb, the owner came to our home and thoroughly explained the whole process. We liked how we were given a supplier’s list and saved a lot of money by receiving their contractor’s discount versus paying the full retail price.

Our renovation had to be delayed a few times due to Covid causing our bath tubs to be backordered but that is not Versatile Renovations fault. It finally began in early February during the coldest days of the year. Herb the owner, Jay and Joey came to our home on time, worked some 10 hour days and cleaned up everyday. They consulted with us every step of the way regarding placement of tiles, fixtures, niches etc...Trista was very diligent in answering our questions.

I am so pleased with how our bathrooms turned out. It looks so beautiful! My family says “It looks like a hotel!” That’s a huge compliment for the staff at Versatile Renovations! I highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again for future projects! They were definitely worth waiting for! You won’t be disappointed!

This is the 3 bathroom we have had them do for us. Love there work so much we had them come up to the Edmonton area for this one. Will get them to do all our work for us. Great team. CLEAN, so clean.
