Very funky smelling, slow draining bathroom sink....
My husband is a very handy guy and could not solve this problem. He tried boiling water, baking soda and vinegar, took it appart and used a plumber snake...nothing worked.
I called Drain Pro (found their add in the phone book). He arrived early, was very persistant, resolved the issue, and cleaned up after him-self!!!
It was not a quick or easy problem, but he kept working at it for well over an hour, it appeared to be fixed. Rather than leave, he ran water for about 5 minutes...after-which it slowed again. Thank goodness he hadn't left. It took another 1/2 hour before it was working fine. I wasn't charged by the hour...I felt it was a fair price for the job. And it has bee 2 weeks and it is still working fine.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $250.00
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Don't wait too long. The daily usage of shaving cream, toothpaste, etc. builds up in the drains. Since I don't like to use chemicals whenever possible, I will make sure to use vinegar and baking soda on a regular basis to avoid a reoccurance.
