My Amana central air conditioner stopped working recently in the middle of a heat wave and on a Friday afternoon. I called the company that sold me the unit and was told they couldn't get a technician out until the following Thursday (6 days - ridiculous). I started calling around with varying degrees of success and eventually connected with John Melich - Service Manager at JCJ Mechanical. John was very helpful and walked me through a checklist of potential problems that I'd be able to fix myself, but we determined a service call was required. Even though it was now late on the Friday afternoon, John was able to dispatch a technician who arrived within two hours. The technician quickly identified the problem and applied a temporary fix to keep the unit running while parts were ordered. From beginning to end, the communication between myself, John and the technician was excellent and I never found myself wondering about next steps. The repairs were completed a week ago and the unit has worked flawlessly ever since. I'm very happy with the service that I received from JCJ and will now use them for all my heating and cooling maintenance.

I own a triplex in the hight park area. I have had problems with contractors in the past. I came across JCJ Mechanical in Home Stars on the net. I was impressed with the reviews so I called them. What i liked was that I spoke to the owner and not a salesman. John came to my house, gave me an estimate and I felt very comfortable with him, so I gave them the job. I had 2 furnaces and a central A/C unit installed. I am happy to say they did a great job. Very fast and professional.

The installation was fast and clean, we are able to sit in our backyard and enjoy our conversation in peace and quiet, free from the noise we had from our previous A/C unit. John came by and inspected the installation and assured us that we would be satisfied, and walked us through the house educating us about the thermostat and explained how important it is to change the furnace filters 4 times a year, and make sure there is no grass or dirt on the outside A/C unit, also showed us how to wash the coils

On the hottest day of the year my A/C broke down. JCJ Mechanical was recommended to me by a friend, and when I contacted the company, the owner said he would send a technician over to look at it within the hour, even though it was an extremely busy day.
The technician arrived 45 mins later as promised, checked the problem out, and was fixed 2hrs after my first initial contact !
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I found them to be, very polite, professional, and charged me a fraction of the cost I was

I hired J,C,J, Mechanical for the installation of my Central Air Conditioning. They arrived when they said they would and the installers were very polite and courteous. There pricing was better than any other quotes I received and there work was a 10+. I would strongly recommend them.

My central air system wasn't cooling efficiently. I called a service person from another company who was very quick to say it needed gas and it would caost me $120.00 and he could come right away to fix it. I decided to get a second opinion and called 2 other places both just quoted methe costof having the service person out to see what the problem was. The third place i called was JCJ, I spoke with John who told me he did not want me to waste any money. He gave me specific instructions to check the unit, filters, ect and to call him back. I called him back and he took the time to walk me through checking the physical appearance of the unit and the pipes. He instructed me to wash the unit. it is now working much better. He was a truly honest, patient, and knowledgeable person. It wasn't all about the money. I have kept JCJ's number if i ever need someone for repairs, I will not hesitate to call them. It is hard to find trustworthy service people ,but hewasan exception. Thanks again John.

In the midst of this excruciating heat wave, my air conditioner stopped working!! Not having budgeted for this, but in desperate need of cooling my house (as I have 3 small children) I call a local Heating & Air Co. (won’t mention any names - in the Whitby area)...A man looks over the unit and advises me it has given out, its time is done...and provided me a quote for a new unit which was BEYOND anything I could afford. What can I do? WE NEED AIR...I decide to call a company that was referred to me by a trustworthy friend called JCJ Mechanical. Not only did the gentleman (John Melich JR) show up within 2 hours, given our critical situation, he also advised me that our air con WAS NOT broken, it was simply a fuse!!! He made his way to my breaker panel, flipped the switch over, and my air conditioner was working! He said my air con is in fine working condition; also let me know for the future that the cost I was originally given from our local company was close to hwy robbery!!! He quoted a price that was much more affordable if it had died in the first place, and did not charge me for his commute!! I would put my name behind this company and their workers such as John with upmost sincerity and integrity. Seems that in this day and age so many people will take advantage of naïve woman such as myself, but JCJ Mechanical cared about the wellbeing of my family first!!
