Galaxy Windows

Well, as two times before we needed doors and a front window so we called Galaxy and as always they did a great job in a timely matter. As always Dimitry came over and was ready to meet our requirements. This time since it was the front doors we went fancy and were not disappointed. This was the third time using them and the third different crew and each crew was excellent. We have an old house with many adjustment over the years and this did not phase the installation crew. Everything was as promised and then some. Unfortunately this will be our last time using them since all our windows and all four doors have been done by them so they should be lasting us a long time. Thanks all at Galaxy. It's been a great experience.

I contacted Galaxy Windows to have a consultation and quotation to replace windows in my house (11 windows in total). Alex came on time, and provided trustworthy explanation of their products, warranty and service while performing the work. He explained the quality of materials used and how it is beneficial to the home environment and energy savings. I felt comfortable dealing with him the whole time and didn't feel pressured. Installation was on time, in good quality and met my expectations as a customer. Would choose Galaxy again in the future!

We needed to replace a cracked window so we figured may as well replace a few others that are older. We are on a pretty tight budget so we couldn't do all the windows at once. I had a few different window companies come to the house to assess our current windows and give a quote. Dimitri from Galaxy was very informative and professional. He identified a few windows that need to be replaced now and said the rest are not to be worried about. He gave us a price that was very competitive vs the other quotes I received and his installer, Alex was at the house within a couple days to take measurements and move the process along. The 7 new windows and rear patio door were installed in a day about 3 weeks after signing the contract. The installers were fast and left no mess after they were done. One window had an issue with the hardware. Dimitri had the manufacturer come correct the issue right away.
Overall we were very satisfied with Galaxy windows and would recommend them to anyone.

Dmitri was the salesperson. Alex was the technician who did our window. They did a very good job and pay attention on the details. Especially, we were suprice on the window that beside the classdoor. It looks very nice. we will recommend to our neighbor and friends.

Galaxy Windows installed 3 exterior doors and 1 window for us about 2 years ago. They were great. They used quality products (Hometech windows and Novatech doors), and everything's holding up well. The only downside was that they initially said they'd install a door knocker and dead bolt for me, but on installation day the installer said "we don't do that" so I had to do it myself. Not a huge deal.

We recently had more windows replaced, and for some reason used another company, and the experience makes me appreciate Galaxy Windows all the more, which is why I wrote this now. I'll definitely be calling Galaxy next time.

I began our hunt for new windows for our home by reviewing Home Stars reviews and was able to narrow my search to four potential suppliers. After meeting with potential suppliers I settled on Galaxy for three main reasons.

Initial response: I actually went to the Vaughan showroom unannounced only to find it was not open. So I call the Galaxy number and spoke to Dmitri who advised the office was basically used for scheduled appointments....however he did not want to see me waste my time and suggested I visit Hometech, the supplier of their windows which is located in the same area. In fact Dimitri gave me a contact and directions for showroom of the plant. I was quite impressed and certainly necessitated a followup call for a home visit and quotation.

Price Quotation: Dimitri was very personable and easy to deal with, he came well prepared with information, pictures of previous jobs, warranty info and sample window to illustrate advantages to Hometech window design and construction. The initial price was very good and as we spoke it became evident that my business was important and Dimitri was flexible. I still had one additional supplier to meet with so Dimitri left a little disappointed by the final quoted price was in my mind very aggressive. At it turned out it was the best of the four quotes I received.

Set up & Installation: Once we chose Galaxy follow up was excellent, all appointments were met and timely. In fact they even provided an opportunity for install prior to the set date, unfortunately we could not take advantage of this. Installers Alex (1) & Alex (2) were excellent, very professional, hard workers, sociable and were obviously interested in pleasing the customer. Their work was precise ( did not mind me examining as they went along and would explain if I had any questions), clean up was very good and all garbage removed. In fact Alex (1) even tightened a screen for me eliminating a slight wrinkle and replaced a crank handle which had a blemish with a spare he had in his van.

Dimitri also showed up to review the work performed and set up the interior screens. I nice touch of ownership.

Follow up: Dmitri did a followup where I explained an issue I had with noisy opening mechanism on our three frosted bathroom windows ( incidentally all the same size ). He immediately set up a visit and came to see the issue first hand. He did a video recording of the noice and stated it would be forwarded to Hometech for their followup. Since it was not an emergency he stated a response timeline of 2-3 weeks. As it turned out Hometech responded in two weeks and set a appt for a technician to review. Mike the tech was delayed on a previous job but called well in advance to make sure I was available ( thanks Mike ). Mike was great, he quickly identified the issue, a few missing clips on the opening bar and repaired. He even noticed a loose handle and set a second tech to replace.

Conclusion: An excellent experience from start to finish. We went from double hung to a combination of casement and awning windows, what a difference. We have had the windows for 6 weeks now and are very pleased and have received complements from friends and neighbours.

I would highly recommend Galaxy and infant have done so already.

We are very happy with our choice of windows and the installation work itself. The end to end experience was excellent - the customer service, Alex's knowledge of the product, understanding of our needs, timely delivery and execution, and proper consideration for our property during the installation. We had other quotes but eventually stopped looking and proceeded with Galaxy as no one provided the same level of expertise, proper conduct and product knowledge. The installation crew did a great job, finished faster than we anticipated and cleaned up after themselves. We are definitely recommending Galaxy to family, friends, and colleagues.

I hired Galaxy Windows for our back window replacement. While our preference was brick-to-brick replacement for all the windows, we were unable to do this for the bathroom due to the existing shower tiling. Alex (sale rep) was very patient and quick to respond during our email communication while I mulled over my options for the bathroom. I finally decided on a retrofit at Alex's suggestion and am very happy with the results. Thank you to all 3 Alex's for a smooth installation!

Galaxy Windows Team is punctual and professional. Alex provided estimates on the cost of windows. Alex and Michael measured window sizes. Returned in 5 weeks to install windows. Michael's team is very professional. They do not mind I watch them working. I was able to get a good look at the windows that gave me major headaches with water leakage into my house. They pointed out that my window frames had trapped all kinds of disgusting brown water inside. The team cleaned up all the garbage from the installation. Took all windows away. Neat and tidy crew! Thank you. Really appreciate the efforts.

I really appreciate Alex's suggestion that I can change the configurations of which window can be operational. So instead of 1 casement window, now I have 2 casements at corners that can open at 90 degrees for easy cleaning. Not much extra cost for 2 operational windows. Bonus! Now my east facing room gets a lot of air flowing through it. The room used to be so stuffy in summer time but now it's well ventilated. The window cranks are smooth and the windows glide open with ease. One of the best home improvement decisions I had made. Definitely will use Galaxy Windows again next year when I have more money to replace more windows.
