Our A/C stopped working during the wonderful stretch of 30 degree weather and left us with that gut twisting feeling of "Get ready to empty the wallet." We checked a few A/C companies on Home Stars and decided to send a message to Core Temp. We sent the message on a Tuesday evening and Richard contacted us the following morning. He asked me to describe the problem and offered some suggestions as to what he believed the issue to be. Given that our schedule wouldn't permit us to be available during business hours, Richard advised he (or one of his technicians) would attend our house sometime after 5 pm to accommodate us. I arrived home at 5:05 pm to discover Richard walking from his truck to our driveway. Richard quickly diagnosed the problem (exactly what he had figured out via the phone call) and had our unit up and running immediately. Given that my wife and I know nothing about A/C units, Richard could have told us the "widget" and "left phalange" were broken and easily made us believe the unit needed replacing. What he chose to do was diagnose the issue correctly, thoroughly explain what caused the problem and provide a very reasonable quote. I can not be more clear when I say that Richard is one of the few businessmen out there that puts his own integrity ahead of the almighty buck. I whole heartedly recommend you contact Richard if you need A/C or furnace work. My wife and I wouldn't consider approaching any other company for this type of work in the future because we are confident Richard's genuine desire to take care of his customers can not be beat. Thank you, Richard, from (now) very loyal customers. PS If you have an emergency, call Richard instead of sending him email - We thought his response time was reasonable, but he advised me that he may have been able to get to us the same day had we contacted him by phone.
