Awful experience and first time complaint poster. Abell made it very difficult for us to give them a great recommendation. Our clean, well prepared house was ready for their scheduled appointment and they cancelled 30 minutes ahead of time. They showed up the next day and came with equipment that wouldn't work. They showed up the day after and spent about 50 minutes/1 hour to treat a bed bug issue in our 2 storey house. By "they" I mean 1 guy, an entire house, 50 minutes and they didn't even treat the carpeting which is wall to wall in our house.
I was assured by the tech "I'm a professional" so I moved my wife and newborn back into the house after the recommended time. Only to see my wife have about 20-30 bites on her 2 days after and my newborn constantly fussy. Was also promised traps/monitors that were never delivered and the technician seemed reluctant to follow through when asked? I don't believe them anymore at this point. Technician made sure on both occasions they were at my house (once with the broken machine and the other for the rushed job) that they had other appointments to attend... great way to make a customer feel like they are getting a good job.
Technician was polite but I'd rather have a jerk who can do a thorough job that gives my family peace of mind. If you're going to cut corners and rush the job at least have the guts to say that I should call someone else for help. This ordeal has already cost well well over 2k at this point.
I called another company and told them how Abell handled my situation (full details) and the employee told me that it was a poor service job and that they would gladly send a team to my house at a discounted price.
