I was initially angry because I feel he cheaped out on tint and left a big mess for me to clean up with the overflow of cement damaging our back yard to present day. However, a few months have passed and with our having the sidewalk replaced to improve drainage, now I can see that he did a wonderful job regardless of the other issues. We have had a large amount of snow and the drainage from the melt has been impeccable, perfect actually. The sidewalk has been done excellently in terms of construction and you had better make sure it is the color you want, because you will be stuck with the sidewalk for a hundred years -- that is how solid the work is.

Jewel, I am very disappointed that you didn't speak directly with me prior to posting this review. In fact, you were present throughout the project and told me on many occasions that you were very pleased with the work we were doing. I have been extremely busy this year, which would indicate my pricing is competitive.
I only use quality concrete from Inland, and have the concrete delivery receipt which clearly shows that charcoal tint was added to the concrete. Exposed aggregate concrete is a natural material and, as such, it is subject to a number of factors. I have poured a number of charcoal exposed aggregate projects and as you can see from my reviews, my customers are very happy. The huge cement mess you refer to in your backyard is not concrete, it is mud that pools there due to the low elevation.
In addition, I rebuilt your back gate and fixed the back fence, adjusted and re-fitted the front gate, and added an additional strip of concrete along the side of the house - none of which I charged you for. Ultimately, the fact that your husband paid the invoice in full, thanked me for a beautiful result, and apologized for your behaviour, leads me to believe that there may be other issues at play here.
