Busy Bee bottom feeders

I purchased a drum sander from Busy Bee tools and it was broken. The spring was coming out the side of the drum, screws were falling out. Busy Bee instructed me to remove the drum, while I was attempting to remove the drum, more screws were not fastened and they eventually agreed to take the machine back for an inspection. To send the machine back I'm out $564, not to mention the shipping to obtain the machine and all the spare/different grit sanding belts I purchased. Initially the first "manager(with attitude)" informed me that my (1 year) warranty was expired. Only to inform them this was a Craftex CX machine and it came with a 3 year warranty. So I ship the machine back to them. After at least 20 emails, lost emails(according to Busy Bee), emails getting sent to the wrong department, the person supposed to answer the email is off sick and the list of excuses were endless. I got fed up and called the Better Business Bureau. At one point, the person I spoke with informed me that my warranty was void because I took the machine apart (which Busy Bee TRolls instructed me to take apart to send them the drum sander and not the whole machine). Let's see if the BBB gets me my money back. I will never buy another item from Busy Bee Tools. They are not trustworthy and do not stand behind their machines. Not to mention putting me out with shipping charges at my expense. I'm not rich but they sure think I am. Buyer beware!

Spray Equipment

Ordered Fuji spray equipment online from Busy Bee. Shipped in two separate packages. Turbine was back ordered but did eventually arrive. Ordering online was simple enough. I did reach out after three weeks to find out where the turbine was and they indicated that it had just shipped. They gave me a tracking number which never worked but I did receive the turbine the next day. Did get get the stuff I ordered so I will chalk that up as a positive. Just received the equipment so looking forward to my first spray. Will evaluate equipment after I get a few sprays under my belt

Poor Quality Products

Have purchased multiple tools and accessories from BusyBee and starting to see a pattern of defects in merchandise. Cracked drill press base, scarred bandsaw table, etc. Warranty process is cumbersome and puts the onus on you to package and ship defective part to BusyBee where they will then determine if they will replace or repair your defective item. Numerous photos were provided to convince them to ship a replacement item and I could return defective in their packaging but they preferred the pathway of delay.
It may seem like a good deal, but its not. Buy elsewhere.

Customer support

Poor customer support. Have spent thousands on equipment - drill presses, table saws, vacuum systems. Latest issue with a table saw, height screw assembly literally disintegrated. Went to the Calgary store, the "tech" pulled up the manual, pointed to the M6 "anti-loose nut" and said minimum 6 months. I e-mailed parts/customer service, after a week no response. Phoned Toronto customer service/parts, told them I need a full assembly, they don't have an assembly. But they have a $25 kit coming into stock in May that should have every screw and bolt for the saw. Beyond that 6 to 8 months for a bolt or key or nut. Guess I need to find a new supplier of my equipment, and hope for better customer service.
If you buy from Busy Bee, be prepared to do any troubleshooting and repairs on your own, the staff simply do not know about the equipment they sell.

Took My Money

I ordered a table saw and attachments online. Busy Bee processed the order then emailed me that it was declined. I called to ask why and they said because the order was more than $5,000. I said ok and that I would go to the store physically to place my order. After checking my card though I find that they charged me over $14,500 for the order on my card even though they declined my order. After numerous calls and assurance that the refund was issued and will be back on my card in 1-2 business days I have still not seen the refund and it has been 8 business days. I have not been able to get a Busy Bee rep on the phone or any response to my emails in 3 or 4 days now.

Busy Bee took money from me when they had no intention of selling me the product and have not refunded the money after they said they had .

Very bad experience. I feel robbed.

TERRIBLE

This is one of the worst companies I have EVER dealt with. Their customer service department does not answer emails or return phone calls. It took me a month to get anyone to even talk to me, and that was only after phoning the store manager 5 times and having him look into it. Their customer service rep refused to honor their warranty on an expensive item, and instead accused me of having damaged the item, making up a ridiculous story to avoid a simple repair or replacement. He then cc'd me in on an internal reply from the president of the company, who was quite rude and dismissive.
DO NOT BUY FROM BUSYBEE TOOLS. THEIR PRODUCTS ARE JUNK AND THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES

Customer service morons

My credit card was charged, then my order was cancelled. I spoke to customer service twice. The first employee 'Victoria' swore (sh!?) under her breath, and seemed more concerned with abiding by rules than providing a service she was hired to perform. The second employee did not care to resolve the issue. I do not recommend buying from this company if you want customer service with good standards, and if you want to receive the product you paid for.
