In July 2023 we moved all of our belongings into a temperature controlled unit at StorageVille while we built our new home. We recently started to unpack our belongings from our storage unit, only to find that our storage unit had been inhabited by mice.
When we brought this issue to StorageVilles attention, the lady we spoke to was very apologetic and ensured us that our concerns would be brought forward to the manager. During our initial discussions with the manager (Glenn), he was not apologetic at all, but did finally agree to refund half of our rental fees paid over the past year. Once we went through all our items, cleaned and removed them from StorageVille, we sent our notice to terminate our services and discuss the refund that was previously agreed upon. At this time, Glenn was adamant that there would be absolutely nothing done about this issue.
We trusted StorageVille to store our belongings safely. We have two young children and the entire contents of our home were compromised by a rodent infestation. We reached out to StorageVille's customer service, hoping for a resolution, compensation or at least an apology, but were met with indifference. It's clear that customer service and satisfaction is not their priority.
We're sharing our story to raise awareness and will be looking into more reliable storage options in the future, that prioritize cleanliness and care. I hope that no one else has to go through this kind of disgust and disappointment.
