My furnace ceased working last Spring but I was in little hurry to make the repair. After looking for furnace repairs in the Beach Metro News, I was able to locate a bill from years past. Kevin B was prompt, diagnosed and repaired the dead ignitor, cleaned my furnace and was on his way within an hour. A very pleasant young man who double checked that all was well with the repair.

Diagnose why furnace is not holding pressure. Will be back to clean and replace boiler tank.

The guys came in about a month ago to replace my old water heater. What I didn’t realize is that my husband made the door to the furnace room an inch to narrow. Mike and Zak were great, they expertly removed the door and the trim and were able to just slide the old unit out and the new one in. After the replacement was complete they put the door and trim back on as if nothing happened. Truly impressive and great effort on a job that could have gone sideways quick. We had an old furnace that came with the house. Metropolitan replaced our 32 year old furnace with a new hi-efficiency and noticeably smaller and quieter unit. They were fast, well-mannered and explained what they were doing. They even carried the giant old furnace out of the basement. The guys did a fantastic job and left the area clean and tidy. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in getting all the rebates possible for us. Overall we were very pleased with the experience and would recommend them.

My father has been working with this company for ages, so he immediately recommended them when I bought a house a few years back, and needed a new furnace and A/C unit. Bryan came out to check the whole house over, make suggestions, and come up with an estimate (a very reasonable one). The guys showed up on time, and did a fantastic job with the installation.

Since then they've installed a humidifier, and done annual inspections to keep everything running smoothly. Every interaction that I've had with this company, both in person and over the phone, has been positive. I find that they go above and beyond with their attention to detail, friendliness and professionalism. I also highly recommend them for their knowledge and patience. I couldn't be happier.

We called, they came for a to assess the unit. We told them that we need to problem diagnosed and we would get it repaired. They gave us a repair quote(over 2k) that was higher than replacement cost on the unit and was very pushy about getting a replacement, stating parts would be really hard to get, and he didn't know if it would fully fix it and it would only be good for this summer and not last past that. Total sales tactic. After hounding them to provide let us know if they could even the parts they said they couldn't. After weeks of no AIR Conditioning in our store costing us business because of their lack of follow(probably because we didn't want a new unit from them) they said they couldn't get the parts. We called a company that referred, and they came in diagnosed the problem as a completely different issue that should have been blatantly obvious(wires decayed and detached...obvious to any technician) he sourced the require parts and fixed the problem in 2 days!!!!!!!! FOR 10% OF THE COST OF THE INITIAL QUOTE(200). Steer clear of this company, they are out to overcharge and under deliver. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT CALL THEM.

There was a gas smell in the utility room. I had called another furnace company for which I was told that I either needed a replacement gas valve ($1100)or a new furnace. My Carrier furnace is only 11 years old. My brother told me to get another furnace quote. He and my mom had bought from Metropolitan and have been pleased with the service.
Bryan, the sales person, came and first decided to check the furnace. He spent over an hour and a half and discovered that fresh air intake was loose and replaced a missing screw connection. I asked him how much for his time. He said nothing as he was a salesperson. He provided me with 2 furnace quotes but said I didn't need a new furnace. Bryan could have made a sale but he was so honest.
He suggested that Metropolitan's service people come to check and restore the gas which had been previously shut off. Steve came and was very thorough and was able to confirm there was no longer a leak. He and his assistant were very friendly and polite and was very careful not to dirty the white carpet.
I would definitely do future business with Metropolitan...very honest and friendly people and have been recommending to friends who want to deal with an honest company. Bryan and Steve saved me $3500 from purchasing a new furnace!
