Casement Windows

I purchased Fibertec Windows about ten years ago when I built my new lake front home. The builder sold me on the idea of Fiberglass for energy efficiency and longevity. The windows looked great with a terrific R factor. For all the windows we have my heating bills are very reasonable. Unfortunately after ten years some of the casement mechanical parts wore causing difficulty in opening and closing some of the windows. Fibertec shipped me the replacement parts free of charge. Over two hours I replaced the mechanical parts on the windows that needed them. They all work as good as new and still look great after ten plus years! I don't care who's windows you buy, eventually you will have some problems. What sets one company apart from another is how they respond when the problem arises. Fibertec came through and the repairs were simple. After ten plus years the windows still look great and work like new.

Company Response

Good day Charles,

We are certainly glad your windows are working as they did when they were new! Part of our service process is to make sure that the parts we provide (under warranty) are indeed the correct parts. Often customers do not know what parts are called, so there begins the investigative process to rectifying the issues.
Best regards.

Casement Windows

I purchased Fibertec Windows about ten years ago when I built my new lake front home. The builder sold me on the idea of Fiberglass. Unfortunately over ten years, I've learned the casement mechanical parts do not hold up with about 20 of my 32 casement windows having some type of mechanical failure. I have invited Fibertec to visit my home just south of Detroit to see the problem but they tell me they have no one they can send. Since the last week of June, they tell me they will send me parts so I can do the repairs on the windows. Today is August 9, I still do not have the parts. It is much better to repair windows in summer than in winter! For over a month I've had one of my large lakeside windows Duct Tape shut.

September 2013. Fibertec has since shipped me the parts free of charge other than a reasonable shipping fee. I replaced the casement lever arms on the windows that were not working properly, and they now work as good as new. Thanks for making this right. I believe no matter what windows you buy you will eventually have some problems but what sets one company apart from another is how they respond when the problem arises.
