Every window in my house is constantly covered in condensation, note- the house humidity is 35% and the thermostat indicated a temperature of 19.5 degrees celsius . At this point I am CERTAIN there is no gas between the panes. There is ice all over our doors and the window creases, the rollers were rusting withing a month of occupancy.
Had I know that Brookfield was using this quality of product I would have asked for plastic wrap instead of windows and purchased my own windows.
A representative was sent to review the issue last year. He added weather stripping which- was missing upon installation and advised drafts from windows ARE NORMAL?
If your builder is using this product, especially sliding windows. ASK FOR A DISOCUNT BCAUSE YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THEM. I have added window insulation which works a bit better but the frames are cracking and have been since last winter.
I see them "storing" another projects windows outside for over a month and a half. its winter. In Alberta. superfantastic.
We got quotes from other 3 manufacturers ... upon inspecting the current product, all three reserved their comments, other than the quality is insufficient and sizes are not appropriate (which is the builders influence here).
If your house has durabuilt negotiate. You will need the money you negotiate to replace the product in your house. I never leave reviews but I had to this time there is so much more that wouldn't fit in the allowed space.
