Had a bad experience with this company. They required the signing of a 48 month agreement upon installation of security system. I moved a little over a year later to a house with an existing security system. I was assured by the company before I signed on with them that the cost would be minimal to transfer the existing security system over to Mark1. I then received a bill for over $500. I asked for an accounting of the bill and saw that this number included an increase to the bill of $100 for an item called "gross profit". I reluctantly agreed to pay this amount. Mark1 then began to pressure me into signing a new 48 month lease, saying a new agreement was needed for the new property. The agreement they wanted would have increase the term of the original agreement by over a year, which I refused to do. I gave notice of termination of the agreement. They ignored that notice and later claimed not to have received it. I changed security companies and offered to pay out the remainder of the contract, but Mark1 then attempted to charge me a higher rate than had been agreed to. In our last e-mail exchange the company owner sent an angry e-mail laced with obscenities and vulgar language - totally unprofessional and unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them to anyone.
