Of the four contractors I contacted for advice and quotes, the Comfort Shoppe was the lowest price as well as being very informative, prompt and helpful.

From Scott to the whole team at The Comfort Shoppe did great service. No issue. Pricing is reasonable if you want good equipment to keep you cool and warm.

I recommend The Comfort Shoppe to anyone who is looking for a new furnace and AC.

This was actually the fourth gas fireplace we’ve had installed by The Comfort Shoppe, and each time we’ve been delighted with every part of the process. Their office staff are friendly and helpful, Scott who does the initial site inspection is so knowledgeable and comes up with creative solutions to any problem, and their installation guys are efficient and very patient with dumb questions from the customer. And they clean up after themselves extremely well! We also have our heat/air unit serviced by them, and again have been very happy. Cannot speak highly enough of them, truly a company with good old fashioned values of great products and service.

My 90 year old mother had a gas fireplace installed by another company. From the very beginning the fireplace had issues, the pilot light would not stay lit, the fan was defective. This company returned many times but could not solve the problem so he stopped answering our calls and dropped us.
After a few other attempts at other technicians trying to fix it I contacted the Comfort Shoppe in Bowmanville. Even though it was not their problem, they worked tirelessly trying to resolve the issue until they finally got the unit replaced directly from the company, even though it was 2 years passed the warranty. They were so good to give us discounts along the way with parts and service, even though it was not their problem to solve. They consistently kept us in the loop while they were trying to resolve the issue. Now the new fireplace works beautifully and my mother is enjoying the heat. Thank you to the Comfort Shoppe, restoring our faith in personal customer service. I would highly recommend this company.
