My 90 year old mother had a gas fireplace installed by another company. From the very beginning the fireplace had issues, the pilot light would not stay lit, the fan was defective. This company returned many times but could not solve the problem so he stopped answering our calls and dropped us. After a few other attempts at other technicians trying to fix it I contacted the Comfort Shoppe in Bowmanville. Even though it was not their problem, they worked tirelessly trying to resolve the issue until they finally got the unit replaced directly from the company, even though it was 2 years passed the warranty. They were so good to give us discounts along the way with parts and service, even though it was not their problem to solve. They consistently kept us in the loop while they were trying to resolve the issue. Now the new fireplace works beautifully and my mother is enjoying the heat. Thank you to the Comfort Shoppe, restoring our faith in personal customer service. I would highly recommend this company.
