We contacted Candu to provide a quote for the project. Don was able to meet with us to discuss the job in detail to offer a quote. We accepted pricing and a work plan was arranged. Don's crew arrived on the dot. The floors were protected throughout the job and we appreciated the care taken as it progressed. The time frame from start to finish was 4 1/2 weeks. Steve and Cory did an excellent job and ensured that everything was fully completed.
We would recommend Don and The Candu Group to anyone planning to renovate their bathrooms. The job was done to our complete satisfaction.

I had the Candu Group Inc. do a full ensuite bathroom renovation and updates to the master bath in Oct 2014. I am thrilled with the outcome. Don took the time upfront to discuss options and provide recommendations to stay within my budget. He kept close communications, providing updates when needed and promptly returning calls/emails. Steve and the others in the crew are professional, meticulous, and very skilled. They arrived on time, and cleaned up at the end of each day. The project took longer than expected, but was not a problem – unexpected things come up during any renovation, and some additional jobs are added! I highly recommend Don and the Candu Group.

We had an old shower in the en-suite bathroom and the mold was getting out of hand. We decided to knock out one of the walls to take advantage of the natural light coming from the skylight. The wall we wanted removed had all the taps on it so it required more work. Don's team of people did a fantastic job getting all the work done. Moving taps, knocking out the wall, tiling the shower and putting in a nice glass door and wall. You can't tell that there was ever a wall there. We are extremely pleased with the finished work. Along the way we uncovered some electrical issues in the house and Don was able to give us a hand fixing those up as well. We would happily work with Don and the Candu Group again. Don was knowledgeable and extremely accommodating to our needs.

It was time to redo our master bath after 15 years in our house. We interviewed several contractors since we wanted a quality job done by someone who was not only thorough but someone we would be able to work well with.
After meeting with Don, reading several reviews about the Candu Group on Homestars and seeing his endorsement by Brian Baumler, we selected Don.
While the project went a little longer than both parties anticipated due to vacations (this was done during the summer), some delays in materials, the end product was well worth the wait.
I found Don easy to communicate with, he responded to any questions we had promptly, he had lots of good ideas, cleaned up at the end of each day, and most important of all he took real pride in the quality of his work.
His team of plumbers, electricians and tile workers appear to have the same work ethic as Don.
It was a pleasure to work with him (and his assistant Steve).

We hired The Candu Group to renovate our ensuite and main bathroom. From the minute Don first came in to our home to provide a quote to end of the project, he was very professional, methodical and particular. He listened to what we wanted and provided suggestions to enhance/improve on our ideas. I have a firm belief that you get what you pay for. Although Don is not the cheapest guy on the street, he is, by far, the very best at what he does. He and Steve always arrived on time, put in a full days work and always left the site clean at the end of each day. I highly recommend Don and The Candu Group for your home renovations and will not hesitate to have them back for other projects in the future.

Don and his team renovated our main bathroom and ensuite and did an outstanding job! The work is outstanding and the quality is the best. Don made sure the work site was clean every day and always fulfilled every promise made. If you get your reno done by anyone else you'll be disappointed. There were no surprises and we came in on budget. Don is such a great person top work with we have no hesitation in recommending his work.

Finding a contractor who is reliable, honest, professional and trustworthy is a daunting task, especially with all the horror stories out there. Luckily we found Don Edmondson and the Candu Group, and couldn't have asked for anyone better. The quality of his team's work from start to finish was fantastic. When what was planned as a simple renovation turned into an episode of "Holmes on Holmes" thanks to all the shoddy, dangerous and just plain stupid work by the previous homeowner, Don worked hard to address each problem, keep us informed of our options and work within our budget. Although it took a bit longer than planned, the result is a beautiful new bathroom that we know has been done right in every way. Don, his team and all the sub contractors he brought in were the consummate professionals: polite, friendly, hard-working, punctual and responsive. The site was left clean and tidy each day. When small things went awry, as they inevitably do, Don was quick to respond and correct the issue, even at 9:00 on a Friday night! Even four months later, when we encountered a small issue, Don responded to our message within an hour and was out the next day to inspect and correct the problem. It's that kind of service and reliability that sets Candu apart from other contractors. We wouldn't hesitate to use Candu again and recommend them 100% to anyone.

We found the Candu Group through the Bryan Baeumler approved contractors website. We contacted the two references provided and were very impressed with the feedback. Don was friendly and knowledgeable. The work site was kept as clean as possible everyday and we were always updated on the daily progress and any issues which came to light, in a timely manner. The job took a little longer than originally quoted but there were some additional issues to take care of once the ensuite had been gutted. Overall we were very pleased and satisfied with the quality of the workmanship and the overall finished result. Thanks Don (& Steve!)

We used Candu to renovate our main bathroom, in Aug/2013. When we started planning we invited Don and 2 other well known companies in to quote. Don was by far the most professional and gave us some design ideas about re-configuring the bathroom.
Don had no problem with us buying the fixtures or me helping by doing the painting (which I enjoy)
The crew Don brought in, electrician, plumber, tapers, and tiler were all top class tradesmen who did top quality work. Each evening the work area was left in a clean and tidy condition.
The follow-up was also excellent we had a small problem with the shower but Don was back in very quickly with his side-kick Steve and everything was fixed in quick order.
Everybody who has seen the new bathroom has raved about it and says it looks like a spar.
We are planning to add a shower to our master bedroom bathroom next spring and we won't hesitate to bring Don and his crew back in to do the work.

We hired The Candu Group again for our Master Bathroom in the Summer of 2012. They did our other bathroom in 2011 and we were very pleased with Don and his team.

This was a complete gut out of the bathroom including some of the drywall which had mold on it. Don made some great suggestions and we had to rearrange the layout a bit, but it turned-out to be very functional and we have been very pleased with our new bathroom.

It took a bit longer to complete as that bathroom had a skylight with no shades and it was steaming in the Summer, so it was a bit rough on the guys with the hot Summer that we had. Don was committed to our job and has been very good on returning when we called him for a couple of minor issues.
