RSA Discount Furniture

I purchased a bundle on Boxing day 2008 from this company located on Kennedy Road in Scar. Ont. They were all willing to get my business but I explained that I wanted to purchase delivery and assembly together. The agreed so I paid upfront (all cash) for this request. The furniture was not delivered on my move in date due to snow but they did not contact me to let me know.... I called the next day and they told me that I had to pay for the re-delivery even thought the items were not delivered in the first place. I complained and threatened to report them to the business bureau and they finally came the next day- while I was not home! My grandmother was at home and didn't know any better and let them drop the furniture off. It was not assembled and everything was in pieces. I rushed home as they were unloading the last piece and asked why things were not assembled.. the delivery guy said that they did not have instructions to assemble and that I would have to pay him 300 dollars now to assemble everything... I called the company alll day and no one would take my calls.... they delivered the wrong chairs and the sectional seating cushions were oddly shaped and did not evenly sit in the base. It was awful! The company wouldn't fix their shoddy work and said that the furniture was inspected when it left the store.. they then delivered 8 days later the new chairs and refused to refund me the assembly price that I paid. They hung up on myself, parents and friends who tried to logically discuss their crappy furniture. They swore at us and refused to fix any of the flaws.... NEVER NEVER buy from this company!

I purchased a table from Discount Furniture in Scarborough. The table was not in stock but I put a deposit in August and was to pick up the table in October. When I picked up the table, they gave me the wrong one. It was impossible to reach them by phone and leaving messages was useless. They tried to give me the wrong table again and tried to give me a scratched and damaged floor model at no reduction in price. I finally insisted on a table in a box only to be told that the manager said I could not have it. Whining and pleading finally got me my table. Definitely not a reputable company!!!!!

"Warning - NEVER Purchase Anything from Furniture RSA -DISCOUNT FURNITURE 1125 KENNEDY ROAD - I cannot begin to decribe what a nightmare it has been to deal with RSA -DISCOUNT FURNITURE . Every piece of a dining room set had at least a minor scratch. More notabley there were 1-foot veritial splits in each of the right and left hand-side doors of the dining room hutch and a 2 inch piece of the top corner buffet was missing. They tried to mask this 'imperfection' with a tar like substance and did a very poor job at that. Despite all of this they still demanded (in a threating tone) full pymt upfront IN CASH!!! But perhaps even worse than the quality of the furniture, is the quality of the customer service. To say they are rude would be an understatement ie they are not shy about using every foul and profane word in the English language, when dealing with their customers. Please, let this be a warning to every purchaser out there - dealing with this company is not worth any cost savings they tease you with." THEY HAVE NO RESPECT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.
