Rent A Son

These are the best movers in Ontario. We were moving from a condo to a house. Julio, Javier and Paul were running just five minutes late to the condo, but called in advance to let me know - very considerate. When they arrived, they didn't know that the condo didn't have an elevator, and the move would involve them going up and down four flights of stairs for every box. They didn't complain - they just got to work. On the other side, they faced some obstacles because the design of our house makes taking furniture upstairs tricky. Still - no complaints. Even when I told them they didn't have to move some things, and that I would move them later, they replied with "no ma'am, it's our job, tell us what we can do to help." What movers are like that?! They took the greatest care with our belongings in both homes. By the end of the move, there was not a single scratch on any piece of furniture or wall in either home. They were incredibly kind, patient and hardworking. They are worth every single penny, and I highly recommend them over any other service. They also come out cheaper than many of their other competitors also listed on homestars (I called and spoke to 6 services before deciding to go with Rent-a-son based on their price and professionalism). By the next day, I had the invoice in my hands with no hidden fees - it was bang on the estimate (Dustin - the president, is gifted for calculating ahead of time what he thinks the move will cost you). Rent-a-son is exceptional in every way. They will be our movers for life.

Having looked at so many moving companies, and getting more confused than ever, I turned to Homestars for guidance. I picked one of their top rated moving companies, and I was not disappointed. I gave Rent a Son my particulars ( move furniture only, no boxes ) and they returned with a written estimate shortly thereafter. Moving day came and they arrived on time, did the job efficiently, finishing within 15 minutes of the original estimate. No problems, no breakage. They made it super easy.

I have used Rent-a-Son many times - to move apartments, to help pack and unpack, to do odd jobs and general help around the apartment, like putting together file cabinets, etc. I have some mobility issues and it is really like having a young "son" around to do these jobs that I have neither the time, patience or ability. I give them a 10 out of 10 rating.

Having to move on my birthday was something I was not looking forward to. However, the "sons" from Rent-A-Son made the whole experience relaxed and stress free. From the initial consultation with Erika to the movers packing/moving my furniture, the experience was professional and worry-free for me. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the "sons". They showed up earlier then their scheduled time, and took their time to wrap ALL my furniture. Nothing was damaged during the move. They were both considerate, and I am very thankful for their services.

I have used Rent-a-Son over the years and have been very happy. They now offer additional services of Gardening, and Moving, Not only were they professional when it came to all the services, whether it was the landscaping, cleaning up the house for moving or the movers themselves I can find no fault with them. They are the upmost professional in all their attitudes and work ethic. You could do no wrong in hiring them to do any job in or around your house. They know their jobs and they do their work without much direction or question, they really know what to do.

The job was on budget as well as on time with the estimate they provided. Both members of the crew were very courteous and professional, and paid special attention to some of the more fragile items. I need to do another move in short order and look forward to working with this company again, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs a mover.

Probably the best moving experience I've ever had. Friendly and courteous customer service. They described services up front without me having to ask. The estimate was right on and their rates were much better than most large companies for the time I was moving. On move day, they called early in the morning to let me know they were going to be 10-15min late and then apologized for the lateness. When does that ever happen? The guys were super nice, fast and professional. They helped me place furniture and took it apart and put it back together with no damages or other issues. I would recommend them to anyone who asks and I will only use them in the future.

I have used Rent-A-Son's services for the past 4 years for moving home, yardwork, assembling IKEA furniture, and now painting my son's bedroom. The staff are punctual, well-groomed, curteous and very helpful. I recommended their sevices to friends and family routinely.

We're moving, and sold our house to a builder who is planning to demo it. With thousands of dollars of landscape rock, it made sense to move it rather than buy more at the new place.

Rent-a-Son stepped up to a heavy labour job that others would not. Further, the team of "Sons" hit the task head-on. Courteous and friendly, they took initiative, used safe measures and got the job done.

We would sincerely like to thank Matthew, Ryan, Dylan and Nathan for their fantastic attitudes and extremely heavy, hard work. They demonstrated respect for us and our property, and completed a full clean-up when they were done.

Additionally, because they can do many different jobs, they could take on additional tasks around the property when the first one was done, and there was time left.
