Rent A Son

I have hired Rent-a-Son on at least 3 different occasions since they first appeared. Over the time, I have always found them friendly, totally professional and honestly stand behind their work.

One of the jobs they did was for basic yard maintenance and they sent a student. This person was courteous and very willing to do what I required, i.e. digging holes and helping me to replant shrubs; lawn raking; stacking bricks.

When they added another service of having more experienced workers, I hired them to add more downspouts to my eaves trough that another company wouldn't put up; they cleaned my eaves trough; installed fire alarms in the house; and checked my attic to ensure the the washroom fan was indeed vented to outside. Unfortunately, on one of the downspouts, the 'bend' wasn't affixed properly so it leaks when it rains; however, the leak is away from the house and the water goes down a slope. This kind of service has apparently been discontinued.

But I intend to hire them to do some yard work again this year sometime in October.

I have moved cross-country and across multiple cities, but I have never been happier with movers than I am with Rent-A-Son. From my initial inquiry and throughout the planning phase, Hussein Sherazi was thorough and meticulous in detail. He was fastidious in following up with me and the specifics of my move and communicated every step with me leading up to move date.

Once the day came, two professional and capable ‘sons’ worked fast and hard to do the job in the least time possible. My belongings were well taken care of and the ‘sons’ were knowledgeable in the proper packing of my valuables. I had such a great experience with this company, that I have employed them again this coming weekend.

I have moved many times in my adult life, and have always been disappointed - I once had movers show up 5 hours late, and then get lost for 2 hours that same day driving 7 KM!

That is, until I was referred to Rent-a-Son. Hussein did a great job on the logistics and planning, and through his smart questions and polite and deferential tone, I felt more comfortable from the get-go. The movers themselves were professional, punctual, strong and fired up to get the job done within the allotted time, and more importantly, done right. They worked well as a team, were respectful of my valuables and of my specific needs for the wrapping and storage of certain items, and seemed to treat each one like it was a family heirloom. You get a clear sense that this is not their first rodeo...these guys know what they're doing.

I have already used them again and have recommended them to my closest friends and family. I hope your experience is as great as mine was.

Our experience with Rent-son was excellent, from requesting a quote to delivering the last piece of furniture. Hussein responded within hours of my request for a quote, even on a long weekend, and politely and efficiently followed up. He was available to answer my questions throughout the process and was always pleasant. The day of the move Alex, Kevin and Chris were focused, pleasant, and very professional. They were able to move furniture, including a king size bed up a narrow stair well that had wet paint and not damage the walls. They worked around painters and floor installers and took away unwanted furniture for disposal without any issues. In a nutshell, they did what they said they would do and I would hire them again in a heart beat.

We had to move 2 houses and then move once again after the house was finish. Each move the staff provided were great and the office personnel was supportive and understanding of each move. Thank you Hussein. Great Job

From the first encounter with Hussein Sherazi (Sr. Moving Coordinator) at Rent-a-Son through to the amazing service we got from Kerry and Kevin who did our actual move - Rent-a-Son was amazing. Considering how nightmarish moving usually is, this was such a delightful surprise. They were smart, resourceful, careful, helpful, courteous and just willing to help all around. When I moved to Toronto I used Rent-a-Son to help me unpack my POD. I used two "sons" for 4 hours. They were incredible! They worked so hard and so quickly. They were courteous, punctual and pleasant and were really careful with my stuff. It really was a great experience. I am moving again soon and I will DEFINITELY be using them again.

I was lucky to hear about Rent a Son from a neighbour of mine. She raved about the service, so when my "real" son and son-in-law became too busy with their own responisbilities to continue helping me with certain seasonal jobs around the house, I called Rent a Son. This was the best money I had spent in a long time. The young man who came was prompt, hard-working and polite. Luckily, I had made a list of what I had wanted done, because he worked so quickly and accomplished more than I could have imagined. I take advantage of this wonderful service at least twice a year. Each time, the service lives up to, and exceeds, my expectations. I have recommended Rent a Son to many people, all of whom have thanked me many times. Three cheers for Rent a Son! nice work - they were quick to get back to me, quick to arrange a time, kyle and nick (the movers) arrived promptly and the entire move took exactly the amount of time that they estimated (and there was no waiting around or slow-motion moving in order to match the estimated time). they worked quickly, efficiently and were very friendly.

I had a great experience with Rent a Son. They moved everything in a timely manner and were very pleasant and easy to work with. The only issue I have doesn't have to do with their quality of work and it's that they charged me 1.5 hours of work for them to drive from their office to my location so it's better if you have a larger job for them to do.
