Replaced our cedar shingle roof with rubber eco-roofing
We had a cedar shingle roof that was about 23 years old. It originally had very thin singles, and they were cracked and falling off the roof in two or three places. Penfolds had just replaced our neighbour's roof with cedar shingles the year before, and after seeing their experience, we decided to have Penfolds do our roof as well.
During our discussion, Jason of Penfolds introduced us to Eco-Roofing, which we found compelling because of its durability and because it was made of recycled materials. We toured the neighbourhood to look at eco-roofs that were installed over the past ten years, and had an opportunity to ask people how they liked them (they would come out and ask why we were staring at their roofs). After talking to a few people and hearing extremely positive feedback, we decided to go for eco-roofing as well.
Penfolds has just completed our roofing, and we are very happy with the result. We were somewhat concerned that having eco-roof right next to our neighbour who has a beautiful new cedar shingle roof would detract from either their house's appearance or our own, but in fact both houses look just great side-by-side.
As you can tell, we are very happy with Penfolds and our new eco-roof.

HI Joseph. Very interesting story on how you arrived at your decision. Choosing the right product for your roof is very important. It does have an impact on the overall look of your house, but also impacts the neighbourhood as well. We do our best to assess each home and provide a few choices in terms of what to replace with, and provide advice if need be.
