We decided to build an addition on the front of our existing backsplit home. When we originally purchased the home, we already had this idea in mind. We were doing some plumbing work for our house and used HomeStars. Since we had very good service based on the reviews, we decided to searched for a contractor to potentially help us build the addition.

Modular was one of first companies that we contacted and had a good relationship right away. What I was impressed with was that they could give me a very good overall estimate of what we would need to spend to get our addition completed. Our home was built in the 60's and you never know what you will find until you start. Well this house was unique and Modular treated our entire project this way....Undertaking such a large build would have been overwhelming if it had not been for Modular. From the initial design to the city permits to the color for the exterior, Modular was working with our family to build something that we would love for years to come. Early on in the process we had a family member pass away and Modular was very understanding in halting things for a brief while until we were ready. They also clearly outlined the entire process and we could make choices along the way to improve the design or just save some money. If you do not have the time to worry about all the little and big things that a project like this entails, then Modular is the right company for you. They treat you like family and I would love to do another build with them again!

I can not tell you the amount of strangers/neighbors that walk by the house on a daily basis and comment on how good the house looks. They can not believe the transformation......

Modular Homes went above and beyond our expectations building our forever home. From design to building the structure, modular was professional, quick and reliable. Even with the circumstances of the global pandemic, they always stayed on task, committed and very driven to deliver on the results. They transformed our 60s 2 bedroom home into a 5 bedroom oasis. They were extremely knowledgeable and creative tailoring our home to the needs of our growing family. Special thanks goes out to Dule, Beli, Milan, Rick, Srdjan and team for all their hard work and collaboration on making this project so successful! We had a great experience working with Dule and the Modular team. Our project included a 2-storey addition and full renovation of the existing house. The original house was more than 100 years old and we were looking for an experienced contractor to make significant alterations to the structure and interiors. The result is a beautiful bright and modern open concept house that we love. At the beginning Modular provided a very detailed itemized quote that was very helpful to understand the cost and to make some adjustments to fit our budget. They also explained to us in detail the entire process and schedule. We were not living in the house during renovations, so we had regular meetings at the site to review progress and provide directions when required. They were very accommodating with some last-minute adjustments in the plans that were sometimes necessary when dealing with the existing house. Since moving in last year, we had very few minor issues that were quickly addressed by the Modular team. It was a pleasure to work with the Modular team and we would use them again for future projects.

We had an amazing experience with Modular. We first met with Evelyn and Bole who were very friendly and knowledgable about the whole experience. Bole listened to our ideas and was quickly able to give us an itemized price break down for our intended renovation. Bole also took us through the building process and demonstrated how their second storey additions are typically built. After speaking to a few companies we decided to go with Modular due to their reputation and experience.

Through the whole design process we had a lot of support and guidance from Modular. From architectural design, to permit applications, and all the rest; modular was with us. It made the whole process convenient and very simple. We were very pleased with all of it! In fact, we had a family trip to Europe (summer 2019) at the same time that our Committee of Adjustment meeting was held, and Modular was able to represent us while we were away.

When our build started all I can say is boy they are FAST! Our roof was demolished and our second storey was up in a flash. Our neighbours were all amazed at how quickly they closed our second storey addition (roof, windows, shingles, etc). Modular was so fast with their build that our home was finished faster than our neighbour's accross the street, and they started 6 months before us. Dule and Beli deserve a big thanks from us during this process - they always wanted to make sure we were happy with the build and the minor adjustments we requested to our design were done without hesitation.

The quality of their workmanship is also excellent - we didn't have any problems with inspections along the way.

It was really great working with Dule & the Modular Team. They started the construction process in mid-September and were moved back into our place by mid-February. This was pretty well a house demo and re-built done in 5 months. Really responsive and transparent.

Modular homes did a large demolition and renovation to an existing bungalow. Finished project added close to 3000sq ft of living space. All of the modular team was very professional and reliable. They were working regularly and on time. Budget was accurate and there were no unexpected markups. It was a pleasure working closely with Dule lazic (owner). I would definitely use this company again for future projects, and would recommend them without reservation.

Our project was to do a complete second floor reno, including building an addition. The space was quite small – about 800 sq. feet prior to the reno, and in a very old home. The project was demanding, and complicated as it required removing the top off an existing level, and we had a short time frame of two months to make it happen. The home is also semi-detached, in a neighborhood which the houses are tightly packed next to each other.

In spite of these challenges, Modular Home Additions did an excellent job, and met all of our expectations and goals - especially being within budget and on time – which is a rarity in this industry!

The trades people that they had working, were experienced, knowledgeable, professional and hardworking. The framers in particular, Srdjan and Cuni, who had the difficult task of “squaring” the 100-year-old home, did an excellent job. The work and professionalism of the ceramic guy, Sasha, when renovating the bathroom was outstanding. The guys who kept the site tidy and clean, Jovan and Jordan, were always extra helpful, patient and friendly. And last, but not least, nothing would have happened without Dule, the owner and the man with a huge heart, who was always there for us, every step of the way. Our special thanks to him and his team.
