I have tried several times to get this review online but keep getting blocked

we had a terrible experience with HD

we bought a washer and dryer at HD and were promised installation ......the friendly salesperson said 'no problem......you won't have to do a thing and we also asked that the truck not come down our 200 foot driveway with 25 foot high old cedar trees and were assured she had written it on the ordera large truck did come down the drive and tore branches off our trees and then tried to turn around on the lawn and damaged boththe men said they were delivery only and had no tools for installation. We hired a local plumber to install the machines.

they backed up quickly and tore more branches off and damaged the lawn again.

we have called repeatedly and been assured 'we will make it right' but
they have done nothing despite many assurances

Guelph store has the worst customer service ever - no sales help anywhere anymore!! After searching forever to find a salesperson to help me in flooring, the guy in plumbing just pointed and told me it was not their department. I waited 30 minutes as a nice guy in kitchen design paged the flooring salesperson a couple times with no luck and then called the manager - no answer or manager to be found. Always have to search to find someone to help - usually new 'Part-time' staff and they say they are not sure of the answers or where stuff is when you ask. Store is always a mess too, the result of no more sales people. Went to Lowes, paid a bit more but was happy. Guelph store sucks!! Lazy absent managers need to be fired.

I want everyone to be weary of returning items to Home Depot Guelph as they do not honour the corporate return policy. My husband purchased a snowblower - returned it yesterday as it was never used - never put gas in it and they would not give him the full refund - even though he had a reciept. Their corporate policy clearly states:

Items purchased at one of our Canadian stores can only be returned in-store. For fast, easy returns, keep your receipt. It not only ensures you get the proper credit for your purchase, but it also helps our Associates process your return quickly.

Returns with an Original Sales Receipt After 90 Days of Purchase
A Store Credit or credit to a Home Depot Commercial Credit Account may be issued for the original purchase price.*

THey took 150.00 off the price in the return.... WE will never shop big ticket items at the store again. We were looking to purchase a new fridge and sstove for our kitchen we are renovating - another store will now get our businesss.

I am using 4 Home Depots in different cities. In general, this shop's assistance is very accessible, and staff are attentive and taking time to answer my questions. When my BBQ grill was not delivered on the promised day, I called the shop and complained. The manager apologized immediately (it's very rare in North America) and promised the return of the delivery fee. The grill was delivered, as the manager promised, the next day morning. I am giving up expecting the high level of services these days, however, the sincere and professional manner, the manager dealt with this case impressed me. Highly recommended.

I made several on line reviews of the saw prior to purchasing. I went to the store and found it well organised and neat as I have found all the stores in the past. The self checkouts are great and easy to use.
