The roof on the back addition of our house was in poor shape with peeling shingles and a prior badly executed flashing job around the vent stacks which may have contributed to some leaks during a couple of major rain storms. The estimator gave us a fair estimate and I had heard good things about the company HD uses for their roofing so we decided to book them. I was not disappointed. The guys came out a couple of weeks later and removed the old shingles, replaced the seal, stacks and flashing in about 4 hours. They did a wonderful job - even levelled our eavestrough. Would recommend them!

Like most other reviews say, Home Depot/HD roofing comes in higher in price, but you get what you pay for, including a transferable warranty to the next home owner. Also, the chances of Home Depot going under in the next 25+ years is slim so it gave me piece of mind.

On the day of, the guys that showed up were from Katin Roofing, which is fine I guess since the contract states that Home Depot/HD Roofing would outsource the job to one of their trusted agents.

Overall, they were friendly, quick and did a good job to the specs agreed. Cleanup was good, but could have been slightly better.

We had a great experience with HD roofing on our investment property through Cherry & Clark roofing and decided to go with HD again even though their quotes came in 20-40% higher than other companies. The estimator guaranteed Cherry and Clark would be doing the work and It would done to the same specifications so we were ok with paying the premium. From there it all went down hill, the roof was done by a group of un identified people in white shirts with no branding of either home depot or cherry and clark. Seems they had outsourced our job to another company without our knowledge or approval. They rushed through the job finishing in one day which normally takes 2-3 days for our size roof as confirmed in previous contractor quotes. Later to find out squirrels had lifted up the shingles and got into the attic due to poor workmanship. We proceeded to express our concerns to upper management who refused to help in any way. Terrible experience!! Don’t assume because they are a big box store they are going to stand behind their product/workmanship . Seems to me that profit is the be all end all.

Had a small job redoing the shingles on two small roofs at the back of the house. I was having a hard time getting folks to quote on it due to the small size. Through Home Depot, the estimator from HD came out very quickly. Once the quote was confirmed, it took them almost two weeks to call to book (and in fact they were trying to fit me in the next day - fair enough given the small size of the job). When completed, both roofs look great, the site was completely cleaned up and the bin taken away that day.

We had 3 quotes and they were all within $100 of each other. The HD estimator was the best of the 3 land gave us the most information. Actually they were less expensive because they took down our old chimney that we did not need. They also had the best labour guarantee - 5 years. They also finished the roof in one day with rain in the afternoon.

I'm pleased with the service I received from HD Roofing Inc. They quickly responded to all my questions and addressed all of my concerns in a very professional and customer service friendly manner. I had my roof re-shingled using HD Roofing and I must say I was totally impressed by the job they did! % workers showed up about 7:45am and at 8am they went right to work. Each guy knew what his job was and by 1pm they were cleaned up and finished.
What really got me was the job was done while we still had snow on the ground.
When I did my spring clean-up(flower beds, driveway, deck, etc) I found a total of 1 nail. Concidering the amount of nails that came off with the old shingles...that's incredible!
I definitely recomend to anyone.

Thanks to Chris and the guys at HD for a job well done in very poor weather. Quote was higher than the competition but felt it was worth it when combine with the Home Depot warranty.

Home Depot replaced my shingle roof this past summer. Although they were slightly higher in price compared to other quotes I had received, it was well worth the extra little bit of money. They are a great, reputable company, and I have a warranty that I know I can rely on. The crew was wonderful, hard working, and kind. I will definitely be calling Home Depot back next summer come time to replace my Siding and eavestrough. Great job!
