Purchased and installed all new windows and patio door in mid-2020.
PROS:
- The appearance is very nice from the inside and outside. They look solid and modern.
- The house definitely retains greater heat during the colder months.
- Long term/lifetime warranty is great to have should anything happen.
- Responsive customer service. I had an issue with a defective lock on the patio door and it was replaced right away.
CONS:
- The installation team damaged some walls during the install (drywall in various places; extra cuts and slices they made accidentally). Not impressed.
- The double paned glass does not do enough to muffle outdoor sounds or keep indoor noise inside.
- On super cold days ice seems to build up on the inside window ledge. I thought new windows would help with this issue.
- There were large gaps left from where the old frames were removed and new ones installed. Not impressed that the customer has to finish caulking to make it look presentable.
- The design of the window frame itself. The openings (designed for airflow and drainage) allow small insects easier access and are also drafty as a result.
