Express Rooter Plumbing

My basement started to flood on Wednesday night. I spoke to Jason on the phone and he agreed to come out the next day.

Jason called first and was on time. He was professional and very honest about options. He explained the situation very well.

The next day, the crew arrived (on time) and did the work in the time they said it would take. They were extremely neat - you would never know that the front garden had been dug up.

At one point, I had to call the office. The woman I spoke with was great - very helpful and clear.

We have done renovations in the past and I always expect the worst. This was a great experience and I would recommend this company to anyone who had similar problems.

Firstly, sorry for the delay in posting this. Jason came to our house after we had had a flood in the basement. Before we replaced the drywall, baseboard and laminate floor we had ripped out we wanted to be sure it wouldn't happen again. Our worst fear was cracks in the foundation which would be very expensive to repair. Jason advised us on the probable cause and told us that I could fix it myself for less than $20 !! He also told me that if that didn't work there were other probable fixes that would be much cheaper than foundation work. So far the $20 fix is working and my fingers are crossed.
He even told me how to fix a slow draining sink in my bathroom, again saving me the expense of having a professional do it (he was right - it was really easy to fix).
Service and honesty like this is very refreshing. I would not hesitate to call these people again and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

It is great to find a tradesperson you can trust without having prior experience with them. I highly recommend Express Rooter. Jason worked with me to find what caused the problem, explained what he was doing from start to finish and also demonstrated the results of his work once he was finished. I was aware that the potential for a very costly job was possible. We could have had broken sewer pipe that needed replacing. It happens all too often that a company will take advantage of those fears and because they know they're the expert they can say and do whatever they want and charge you unnecessary costs. Jason got right to the problem, allayed our fears and fixed it thoroughly and honestly.

I will call them back when I need plumbing done.

Blockage was pouring water in the basement at every rain. Express Rooter found the blockage with the 'scope. It was expensive to dig down, but the problem was essentially solved in a day. Too bad I didn't do it years ago when it started. Thanks.

We are waterproofing the basement and need to know if the drains are in good shape. I had some concerns so I called around and found Express Rooter had the best rates. They even called shortly bedore Jason arrived. Not only did he scope the drain but he provided excellent advice about the job ahead of us. He even helped me lug some bags full of old drywall to the bin. I will definately call them again if I need more drain work done. Thanks again!

Upon returning from a 3 month vacation in Florida, our basement began to flood (approx. 50 Gal. per hr.). After no success with the local authorities to solve the problem, we found Express Rooter in the Yellow Pages, boy did we get lucky. They addressed the problem within a few hours and made ever effort to correct the situation. Unfortunately, the source of the problem was within the road allowance and thereby the responsiblity the local authorities. After 11 days and the loss of all services (storm, sanitary and water) to our home, the problems were eventually rectified by the local authorities. In our view overall, both the Region of Peel and the City of Mississauga failed us, ExpressRooter did not. The staff and owner of this company were courteous, competent and extremely professional in the service they provided. They stayed in contact with us through the entire ordeal. These people care not only about their own work but that the problem is fixed regardless if another party if performing the work (ie. Region of Peel & City of Mississauga). In the trades companies like ExpressRooter are rare. My wife and I would not hesitate for a split second in recommending this firm to anyone. Not only do they know how to do it right, they care about doing the right thing. We tip our hats to true professionals.

The pricing was comparable to other quotes considering we changed the whole main stack from underground in the basement to the 2nd floor but the service and professionalism was quite remarkable.
They made sure to protect the furniture and floors and finished the job the estimated time. Would definetely recommend them.

Express Rooter came within 30 minutes of booking the service call. Jason's knowledge about what needed to be done was exceptional. Jason explained the job that had to be done really well and was able to find the "clean out" pipe for us which was buried in the front yard. Because of that, the City of Toronto is now able to come to replace the broken sewage clay pipes. Jason was upmost professional and I would recommend Express Rooter to anyone in need of plumbing repairs.
