Insulating home

Enwise's sales person was very helpful. We were getting a lot of work done on our house to make it more energy efficient. They laid out all the options and gave a detailed quote. Where I had my issues was with execution. They hire out to subcontractors to do the work and it seems like they have too much work to stay on top of everything. One the crews got here, for the most part, they were professional.

heat pump/tankless hot water heater

Sales person seemed very nice. I'd done my homework & wanted to eco-friendly, so chose Hallowell Acadia heat pump & Rinnai tankless hot water heater. Initial prices went up as I wanted to use the tankless hot water heater for backup. This required a manifold for heat exchanger. Fine, went with the install. This took 2 days since they forgot the equipment needed to charge the system. That would be OK except the installation team seemed incapable of closing the door behing them on a -14 C day. One would think that after they had removed my furnace keeping the door closed might be in order, never mind the fact that I'm in a downtown neighbourhood on a main street with a house full of stuff that could easily be taken when nobody is watching.

After the install was finally done, the system started giving me error messages and reverting to emergency mode, running off the hot water heater. No savings there! After several escalating service calls, they finally determined the problem was an error in calculating the size of return air duct needed. They left saying they would be back when the necessary items arrived. That was in March. I've left several messages with the sales person asking what was going on and haven't even received the courtesy of a reply.

I was also told that if any new rebates came available that Enwise would automatically apply for them on my behalf. The day the installation of the hot water heater Enbridge came out with their $300 rebate for going tankless. I've heard nothing from Enwise.

After spending this much money with a company, I expect to receive much better service than this. I rate them a ZERO because they haven't met ANY of my expectations for a reputable firm.

BEWARE!

Tankless water heater

My initial dealings with Enwise were great. However I was told I would save on water with the Tankless water heater and am using way more plus it doesn't maintain the temperature at lower temps. I called to say I wanted to switch to a tank, still with their company and now 4 weeks later I have yet to make any progress....they say they will schedule a switch, promise someone will call within 30 min and still no call. When I call the office the person who answers can only send an email for someone to contact me. Requested to speak to a supervisor, was told I would be contacted within 24 hours. It is now 5 days. I have been totally disappointed and with I had read these reviews prior to starting with them.

Furnace replacement

We hired Enwise to come in and replace our furnace as well as the water pump and they did a fantastic job. They were fast and very neat. Being a civil engineer, I am very picky about details regarding the installation meeting all the proper building codes and proper installation of piping and cabling etc. They did an excellent good job in this regard and proposed very innovative work around solutions to deal with the complicated situation in my finished basement.

They actually left the place in a cleaner condition then when they came in! They even shoveled the driveway! It started with them asking me to help in clearing the walkway and then the two of them grabbed shovels and quickly the three of us cleared the entire lot. They arrived at 9am and had the whole thing installed and operational by 11:30am (and that included the shoveling!).

All around, a fantastic job and I would recommend them to others.

Replace Furnace

They came in to replace our furnace. The crew was very professional. The work area was totally cleared before they left the site. They also fixed some of the minor deficiencies done by other contractors. Definitely recommend them to anyone.

tankless water heater

When renovating our home we decided to yank the tank and go tankless in terms of water heating. We turned to EnWise solutions for the best price and guarenteed government grants. EnWise did all the research for us along with paperwork in order to achieve grants. We went with a Rinnai water heater that sves us alot of money and is very efficient!

Retofoam sprayed into basement block walls

I signed with Enwise Power to have a product called Retrofoam which is a latex foam sprayed into my basement block walls at a cost of $2,400.00. I was told the federal and provincial governments would give me $1,000.00 back in grants if all 4 walls were done.
The Ministry of the Environment sent me a test they did showing the product added a value of R2 not the R10 needed to receive a grant. In other words this product is almost worthless. I don't have the $1,000.00 grant plus I'm being threatened by Enwise Capital because I've stopped paying on the contract I signed with them. Enwise Power misrepresented this product. If anyone else has had similar problems I would suggest we get together and hire legal help. Beware of this company.

Furnace, A/C and Tankless Water Heater install

We moved into our 40 year old home and the first thing we wanted to do was make it more energy efficient. We got our first energy audit and decided to upgrade the furnace to a 95% efficient one (Everrest), a new efficient A/C (Everrest), and a tankless water heater (Rinnai tankless water heater) to replace the old tank.

All the installers worked in unison and did a great job of the install and explaining what they were doing. The job was done very well and now our furnace room has much more room mainly due to the fact that the big old tank is gone and replaced with a small, technologically advanced tankless water heater!

We are now saving $ on energy and also switched to clean Bullfrog Power! Add all this to the fact I bought a Neuton Battery Powered lawn mower and I think I am doing my part to help reduce my carbon footprint!

Now to upgrade the insulation in the attic, insulate the crawl space and then get my final energy audit so I can get rebates from the government :-)

Thanks Enwise for helping me get there...

Tankless water heater,Furnace,Air Cond & Insultation of Sub-floor in garage

It is seldom that I have experienced such professionalism, coutesy and attention to a customer's needs. The energy adviser was knowledgable and clearly explained all our options. It was obvious that the installation of our various products was planned in advance. The two crews worked in harmony removing the old equipment and connecting the new units. They were polite, but above all, left no doubt that they knew what they were doing. In rounding off this positive experience I even received two follow-up calls to establish my level of satisfaction. Added to this Enwise attended to all the elegible rebate claims. This has been an experience I will long remember and would recommend Enwise without any hesitation.

Navien Tankless Water heater with mini buffer tank

We recently decided to replace our gas water heater with a tankless model. After discussing options with the Enwise Power Solutions Inc. Sales Representative, we selected the Navien CR-210 tankless condensing water heater to meet our needs. After it was installed we had some performance issues associated with the unit (length of time to get hot water and minimum flow rate for operation)upon further investigation by Enwise and Navien America Inc. service representatives, it was determined that the unit was defective and they offered to replace the unit. At that time, it was determined that the CR-210A model would be a better solution for us given our hot water needs and desired operational parameters (min flow rate less than 0.5 gal/min).

The Navien CR-210A which has an internal mini buffer tank was recently installed and we are absolutely delighted with it. The unit provides hot water no different than our previous gas tank model yet it is a high efficiency tankless system, and we can precisely set the water temperture at the push of a button.

Thank you Enwise Power Solutions Inc. and Navien America Inc. for your commitment to your customers from your office staff to your technical and field staff, we had nothing but support from your teams. We now have the tankless system that we desired with essentially no difference in perfomance from our tank system with all the cost savings and reduced environmental emissions.
