Bath/Shower switch replacement
Several weeks ago we used the services of DrainWorks in getting my “shower to bath switch” fixed. It had broken off and we were unable to switch between the two functions any more. I asked a handyman and another plumber to give me an estimate on what it would cost to fix it! After inspecting the broken “switch” neither would commit. Both said that it could cost anywhere between 500 and 5000 depending on what was “behind the wall”. I was scared to take that “do the work” risk without an estimate that was not so extreme, so I committed to neither. One day I found Home Stars online and decided to go with Drainworks - as I saw they had a lot of great reviews! I called in and was told that the plumber would, after taking a look, give me an “to the cent” estimate. Great! The plumber took a look and said that if he could take off the faucet and check “what was behind the wall” he could give me the estimate. I said sure, go ahead. He did and found that it was a doable, affordable job! I was at a Christmas party last night and shared this experience with a bunch of folk…saying it was nice to work with an “intelligent” plumbing company – one that actually came up with a solution on how to give me a proper estimate . Then someone asked me if I received a twenty dollar incentive from Drainworks to write a review at HS! I wish I had been offered such an incentive but sadly Home Stars was not even mentioned by the plumber! Anyhow, I am happy to write this review for FREE!
