Lou was a pleasure to work with right from the beginning. He really takes pride in his work and explains the whole process without “talking down” to you, as I have experienced with other contractors.

My partner and I have our bedroom/bathroom in our basement as our second floor of our Leslieville semi is tenanted. We went ahead with a full scale basement Reno to update the space and make it more functional for us.

Our ductwork ran directly down the centre of the basement and impeded on the headroom and living space. I knew we weren’t going to underpin so relocating the ducts was the next best thing.

Other HVAC people said it couldn’t be done; but Lou and his team were able to create new custom duct work and run it under the window wall rather than us losing lighting from the windows.

He listened to what we wanted and was clear about what could be done and what couldn’t. He was creative in his solutions and came back once it was done to ensure we were 100% satisfied.

Highly recommended and will use Lou again if we have future needs.

Lou and Sean recently replaced duct work in my home. Being an older home, the duct work needed to be custom made. Lou was very quick in coming to for the initial visit and to give an estimate to the cost. The work was installed and completed two days later! Amazing speed at getting the job completed, of which, I am very grateful for.

We contacted Lou after a long struggle with a poorly installed, inappropriate humidifier. Over the years, we had contacted various companies and gotten all kinds of run-arounds (and wasted a lot of money). Lou got us the correct model and installed it properly. We are finally comfortable. When we ran into a problem, Lou came over as soon as possible and took care of it.

Lou and Marino did an amazing job. Our 100+ year old east Leslieville house had very poorly made air ducts, so finding someone to do such a custom job was not easy. Lou and Marino came in did a very good job of estimating what needs to be done and then did an amazing job of following through on time and on budget. The final product is our air conditioning and heating system is now working perfectly, with even air distribution throughout our house!

If you've had any work done on your home, then you know how hard it is to find a good and reliable contractor. We got ourselves a very old house which requires a lot of work, including relocating ductworks so that we can finish the basement and make it livable.

Right from our first meeting, we knew this is the contractor we would want to work with, and we were not disappointed.

The work was done on time, and on budget. The quality of the craftsmanship is exceptional (they make the ducts in-house, so you'll have exactly the dimensions that you need, no compromises). The removal and the installation of new ductworks seemed to be an easy affair for their team. They came on time, were polite and responsible. They've left the place cleaner than when they came in.

Our Air Conditioner broke down in July and Lou came right away with a reasonable quote. We accepted his quote to replace our Air Conditioner and Furnace and he was able to install the following week. Lou, Marino and Shawn all worked diligently and completed the work in a single day. They cleaned up after themselves and were very pleasant to work with. This is our second job with Lou and we're just as happy as the first!

Lou and Marino of Dave White Heating did a spectacular job for us last summer and we couldn't be happier. We did a basement reno in our 1920s East York semi and wanted to move all the overhead ducting to run along a wall instead. Other HVAC guys we called said it was a crazy idea and it couldn't be done, but Lou looked at it and said it wouldn't be a problem. He and his team moved our furnace, then designed and installed some complex ductwork that also ensured the HVAC was properly balanced. Having now been through a winter, I am happy to say that it all works perfectly through the whole house, and our basement now has full height ceilings. Lovely guys to work with, superb workmanship and they even cleaned up after themselves every day. They truly deserve all their 5-star reviews on this site!

I would recommend Dave White Heating & Sheet metal to everyone, ESPECIALLY if you have an older home that needs some finesse.

Lou came out after we were well down the road of replacing the old oil furnace and ducts in our house with another HVAC company. We had plans for all new ductwork throughout the house, and the OTHER company suddenly wanted us to start moving floor joists everywhere because they weren't wide enough for a standard duct to pass through.

Lou came to the rescue and fabricated perfectly fitting ducts, and managed to install (and hide) almost every single duct/vent without cutting open walls that weren't already open. the best part? his price was LOWER than the other guy.

Lou's guys also did a phenomenal job installing and running the new gas lines; the gas header is a work of art, and everything is labelled.

The guys also managed to reuse our AC evaporator coil, even after finding it completely clogged, they cleaned it out for a minimal charge instead of insisting we replace it.

When the first summer came around our original AC unit stopped working after a few days, Lou came by and had it fixed up in a matter of minutes.

2 years later, our house is always the exact same temperature in every single room of the house, heat or AC and we couldn't be happier. Thanks Lou!

I really want to thank Dave White for helping me with a problem. I thought my 14 year old luxaire heater unit had broken down. It was minus temperature outside so I was really worried of course. I noticed an error light flashing a code and called the nearest Luxaire dealer,Dave White heating, to ask if they knew what the error code meant. Dave was out of his workplace at the time I called but he was able to interoperate the code and walked me through the method of fixing the problem. The problem was not the heater unit but the moisture drain hose that I installed 14 years ago was blocked and the unit locked out as a safety feature. I replaced the hose and now the unit is working perfectly. Dave did this at no cost. I could have been faced with a significant service call bill.
When I eventually replace the furnace Dave White Heating will be my first port of call.
