Clan (Colin and Andy) were engaged to wire our entire house for $26,990. Colin did most of the work and had a sunnier personality than many on site. We didnt complete with them, but they got through approximately $16,000 of the work, coming back a few times to correct outlet/switch positioning mistakes. We had them back for some additional jobs, like fixture installation.
There was about $4,000 in work that I never got reimbursed (quote scope was reduced or it was incomplete). While this work was under a GC, they could have moved to either complete the incomplete work and/or reimburse for the work since they were paid for it, but they did not. Additionally, I asked them to replace a wire for a microwave that they installed improperly (3-wire vs. required 4-wire) and they never responded, so I had to hire another contractor to replace. This mistake meant cutting into drywall in a few places, so I had to pay for drywall patching in addition to the wiring work.
I found reading their quotes to be very difficult as well - and I received several of them so its not just 1 or 2. Andy generates very small, hand-written quotes and then takes a picture to share. They must be blown up to be visible, and the quotes don't list individual pricing such as other electricians will provide (per unit supply and labour costs), making it difficult to assess value-for-money.
