We needed to replace the roof on our house, which was nearly 20 years old. Since they were builder-original dating back to the house being built in 1989, we decided we should probably replace the flashing and eavestroughs at the same time. I got recommendations for 5 different highly regarded roofers in the Oakville/Burlington area (from people that I trust) and got quotes from all of them for comparison. Only two of them were able to give me a quote for all of the work I wanted done, the rest could only provide quotes for the roof (and maybe the flashing) while giving me the contact info for another company or, worse, "a guy they know" for the eavestrough work.

Needless to say, not only was Cherry & Hoyle the cheapest for all the work I wanted done, they were the most willing to walk me through the full process and inform me on all the available choices. Rick, who did my quote for me, was awesome and answered all my questions, and dropped off some shingle samples so my wife and I could compare colours. And when I asked about it, he suggested a good option for gutter guards to go with the eavestrough replacement (at about 1/4 the cost of what I was quoted by the big high-pressure sales tactics company that sends out flyers once a week, no less!)

This summer was a particularly bad one for roof damage with the massive storms that we had, and they were extremely busy and wouldn't be able to fit me in for roughly 6 weeks after I paid my deposit, but they were open and honest all the way through the process, letting me know before paying the deposit exactly what their timelines looked like. The weather being unpredictable as it is, I think we were only a week, or less, late on their estimated start time.

The whole process of replacing the work was smooth as silk - I got a call the night before asking if they could drop the waste bin in my yard, which was no problem at all. Moved the cars out of the driveway early the next day for them, and they arrived promptly at 8am to start the work. They put down ground covers all around the house to catch anything falling off, and had the entire roof replaced (demo and new shingles) in a single day on our pretty large house!

The foreman Asdren was great - had to all me to recommend one change to the plan, fully explained why he thought it should be made (with no change in cost), and I didn't meet him in the morning but he actually took the time to come down from the roof to introduce himself to me when I got home from work.

The flashing and eavestroughs were replaced on separate days, within about a week of the roof being done (rain delayed them coming back unfortunately), but those were less urgent than the roof itself, and everything was already fully sealed any way so the other work nice to haves but not immediately needed.

I have to say that EVERYONE I dealt with at Cherry & Hoyle, from the owner all the way down to the workers on site, was just so pleasant to work with. Everybody involved made a VERY big and stressful (and expensive!) project go as smoothly as possible and helped make my life a LOT easier. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody looking to get their roof done, in a heartbeat.

Cherry and Hoyle do fantastic work. They are honest and can be trusted. The roof crews are professional and kind. I believe they take pride in the quality of their work and they cared about the cleanliness of my property during and after the roof was being redone.
Now, Roofing requires dry weather and because Cherry and Hoyle are so in demand, you need to have patience. Rain sets back their schedule and they have to do catch up constantly. It is best to contact them way before your roof begins leaking.
Jackie and Rick were always available when I had any questions or concerns. Jackie especially contacted me numerous times when rain caused delays and schedule changes. That was very much appreciated and went a long way to gaining my trust.

Cherry and Hoyle was recommended to me by a neighbour who had worked with them for years. She was not wrong. From the very first contact to the finished product they were honest, dependable and true to their word. Our roof was completed as promised and the service from their office manager, Jackie, was excellent. They are not the cheapest but I would use them again without any concerns. My highest marks to Cherry and Hoyle.

I used Cherry & Hoyle for a roof repair. From first contact with the office through the initial inspection and then the actual work, what I got was excellent service and quality work. I have seen some people on social media say C&H are expensive, but I don't agree. I found their rates very reasonable. More importantly, what I got was service from a company that clearly still believes in attention to detail and the value of maintaining their excellent reputation.

Great team from office to guys doing the bidding and work. Took the time to look at other parts of the roof after the repair of the vent and shingles. Would bring them back for a new roof when its time.

I struggled to get a quote and advice that I felt confident with. The estimator confirmed what I had heard from other companies but differed in the quote. Specifically Cherry & Hoyle gave me a quote that was worst and best case scenario. The installers called out a couple efficiencies & savings during the install. The end result was great work and a price that was fair and mostly I trusted. A very high recommendation for Cherry & Hoyle from me.

Discovered in early spring that the roof on our recently purchased bungalow in Burlington had not been installed properly. Boards were rotten and needed replacing with the shingles and venting for dryer and bathroom fan needed fixing.
Called around for quotes and was very impressed with the service from Cherry&Hoyle. Everything from the initial inquiry, to the quote visit, and to the quote itself was helpful and informative. Jackie and Sierra were beyond professional and so pleasant to talk with even when weather worries had me a little nervous. Weather was given extra consideration as our whole roof had to be opened up and this extended to the great crew who came out on the day. We appreciated that Asdren wanted to be as sure as he could be about the weather before starting but once satisfied his crew got to work and work they did! Their effort and efficiency in completing the job in a long day of work was impressive and most appreciated. Asdren answered all our questions both at the start of the day and during his lunch break. The cleanup afterwards was also top notch - not a nail or piece of roof debris to be found afterwards!
