When we bought our typical north Toronto house in need of renovation, we immediately started to search for the right contractor on Homestars. After reading all the reviews, Bravehart was our first choice. We were determined to wait for them even if their schedule was full, which turned out to be the right decision. Led by Bill and Laura, the Bravehart Team are true professionals.

Our project at the beginning consisted of a complete demolition and reconstruction of the main bathroom before we could move in. Bill and Laura came out to survey the work in early December, ,provided us with a detailed schedule and budget and were especially helpful to accommodate our project in the busy holiday season. We felt very comfortable leaving the key to our house with Bill. They showed up on time everyday and put in a full day’s work to meet our Christmas deadline. Confident of their work, we asked Bravehart to update the basement bathroom, convert a basement storage room into a laundry room, (involved relocating all plumbing and electrical from the furnace room), kitchen backsplash, and installation of new lighting throughout. At the end, everything went on schedule, and on budget.

This was our first major home renovation, and it was a great success. The kitchen and pantry/mudroom addition were completely gutted, and a single large kitchen built in their place. We were impressed with the level of inspection that Bill performed prior to providing an estimate, as well as the detail provided on his quotation. Laura provided us with helpful feedback on our preliminary design. Bill committed to having someone on-site every day, and completing the job on time and on budget, and delivered on all counts - despite a challenge (on our end) in getting the cabinets delivered and installed on time. In spite of that two-week delay, the job was finished – as planned – just in time for the start of the new school year. Bill and his crew were tidy, and did their best to minimize the disruption to our family, especially our two young children. Overall we are very happy with the outcome, and would recommend Bravehart Building without hesitation.

Working with Bill and Laura was a wonderful experience. Bill and his team gutted our kitchen, closed up a window, looked after the electrical and plumbing in the kitchen, took care of detail trim work and the kitchen backsplash. We were so pleased with their work on the kitchen, we had Bill do the fireplace surround in the adjoining family room.
Bill is extremely attentive to detail and a great problem solver. He saved us money by reusing some shutters to close up the window as well as offered alternatives for planning our kitchen so that a heat register would not have to be moved.

Bill Wallace and his entire crew could be counted on to complete each phase of the job in a thorough, competent and timely manner. I never had to wonder if they'd show up on time, hunt them down, or doubt their honesty or professionalism. It was personally reassuring to know I would trust them in every way with such an extensive project. They kept the lines of communication open and consulted me whenever necessary. I'd highly recommend them, period.

Bill and his excellent crew took our raw open-raftered space and turned it into a lovely living area containing a bedroom/office and sitting/multi-purpose room. Ceilings and walls were drywalled with trim added around windows and cupboard spaces. Bill had good ideas and the work was done conscientiously and on time, and they tidied and swept up all the mess every day. A sure sign of good workmen. We are more than happy with the results of their work.

Jeanette & Larry - homeowner - Kitchen was gutted and a wall was removed. THe renovation involved electrical, plumbing, lighting and drywall taping. We removed all of the old drywall and insulated and drywalled the walls. Bravehart did the ceiling and taped all of the drywall. Workmanship was great. The estimate of time for the project was six weeks and it was completed in five.

Braveheart Building is excellent. Bill and Co. took a basement in a century home containing rental suites, gutted it and remodeled it into 1,000 sq. ft. of beautiful living space including a family room, laundry room, sauna, pantry, two bedrooms, a bathroom and storage areas. The attention to detail was excellent and the craftsmanship superb. Bill was able to creatively solve problems and managed unforeseen challenges in "this old house" with true skill. If repeat work is any indication of our level of satisfaction, we have had Braveheart back to do two other additional projects and have plans for a third return visit to our house this summer to renovate our wrap-around front porch. I recommend Bill and Braveheart without hesitation.

Bill and his team were able to transform our pool house into a more useable structure. They were professional and courteous. They delivered results within the specified time and budget. They were also able to make changes or suggest improvements that made the end result fantastic! We can't wait for summer!

Bravehart Building was hired to undertake the renovation of our studio and were so thorough in the undertaking we continued to hire them for our many other needs well in advance of our original time schedule. We felt that when you find a company able to deliver like this it was best to continue hiring them. Their policy is to serve one client at a time thus resulting in the delivery of quick project completion and undivided attention to detail.
