Asbestos testing and disposal

I was dealing with a really terrifying asbestos encounter around new years eve. I had torn up a floor that I subsequently realized might be backed with asbestos paper. Things were made worse by the first abatement contractor I worked with who told me the asbestos test came back negative when it was in fact positive! I was really panicking by this time and the internet was not helping to allay my fears. I was really worried about possible airborne fibres and was eager to have the air tested and the situation dealt with properly. Given that it was new years eve, all of the contractors I was calling were closing up shop and definitely not available to come by. When I got a hold of Dave at Amosite and explained my concerns he gave me great advice over the phone and even agreed to come by that day to check out the situation and perform an air test. I was so relieved and appreciative that he made the time, even though he was also in the process of closing up for the day himself. Dave really extended himself. He gave great and practical advice. He didn't fear monger like the other contractors and he helped to relieve my concerns and resolve the situation in a practical and professional manner. I received the results of the air test within a couple of days and Dave facilitated safe disposal. I felt hugely relieved to know the air was safe and things were taken care of promptly. I would highly recommend Amosite to others. Really top notch.

Asbestos Removal & Air Quality

We had a century house and part of the preconditions of sale was to have the asbestos wrap removed from duct work. David and team were absolutely great, they were in and out in record time with little evidence of them being there exempt for the obvious disappearance of wrap. Later I was asked for a last minute air quality test which Dave had processed same day and provided letter to alleviate any concerns from nervous buyers....and to my surprise and relief, estimates were exactly the same as actuals.... expectations exceeded .....Thanks David!

Oil Tank Removal

As a realtor, I have used a variety of companies to remove oil tanks from homes over the years. Amosite has proved to be the most professional. They are prompt, clean, personable, & efficient. Whether they are removing the tank as a whole or having to cut it up into pieces, the job always get gone smoothly. I would highly recommend Amosite for oil tank removals.

Asbestos Removal

Amosite promptly arrived to view the job. I had a heating duct turn wrapped in asbestos and wanted it removed. Amosite discussed three alternatives and provided cost estimates for each. I was impressed with their knowledge and friendly approach. I booked the job and decided on the duct removal approach where the asbestos was present. Promptly on the work day, two members of the Amosite team arrived, prepared the work area by sealing off the necessary vents, used proper ventilation equipment, and removed the asbestos duct section. My entire experience with Amosite was first class service. I definitely would recommend them. They are the real deal.

Asbestos Removal

We are in the process of selling our house. Amosite came highly recommended. David gave us a fair estimate, arrived at the appointed date & time, & advised his crew how to proceed. They were done within the day, & did a great job. They know what they're doing, & do it well.

asbestos removal

We are remodelling the main floor and wanted the asbestos to be removed from the basement pipes. Spoke with David, the owner and he seemed very knowledgeable and booked an estimate for the next day. He provided the quotation the same day and it was competitive. We confirmed the work the following Monday and they were finished 5 hours later. I'm very satisfied with the work so far and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Oil tank, furnace removal

They came, they saw, they did it - in under an hour. So professional, polite and friendly too. They called just before 7 to say they would arrive shortly, that happened and they were gone before I even realized they had finished the work. Their fee was included in Belyea Bros. quote for a new gas furnace so I'm not sure what it cost. I hope I won't have to hire them in the future, but I certainly would and highly recommend them.

boiler and pipe removal

David and his team removed the original cast iron asbestos wrapped boiler and all the asbestos wrapped cast iron piping from our basement. His team worked professionally and efficiently. When we bought our older home we were concerned about the asbestos in our basement. Dave put us at ease and answered our many questions. He returned many times due to schedule changes without hesitations. His team arrived on time and finished the removal quickly with no issues. Dave is a professional and we are lucky to have found him! Thank you.

Remove asbestos wrapped piping, oil tank and old boiler

Purchased a new to us (80+ year old house) and was looking to finish the basement. As with many old houses, we had asbestos wrapped piping a massive oil tank to deal with. Called a few companies to give me a quote and eventually found Dave from Amosite on Homestars. He was easily accessible and came over the next day to take a look and walk me through the process in detail. He gave me a quote on the spot (which was significantly better than everyone else) and actually walked around the house with me as i pointed to various areas of concern. He even stuck his head into the attic to take a look at the insulation and confirm it didn't look like vermiculite, while others said they have to charge me for that!
Anyways, intentions were to remove the oil furnace eventually but we were forced to have it replaced a lot sooner as the old clunker gave out on us. Called Dave late on a Saturday night and his crew were in first thing Monday morning. I can not say enough good things about the level of work and satisfaction i have with this company. I highly recommend!

**EDIT** so, after Dave's team finished up their amazing job, my HVAC guy starts doing some work and we discover some additional asbestos wrapped piping in behind some bulkheads. HVAC guy stop working right away and we are now freezing in the house as there is no heat....Called Dave, yet again on a Saturday night, and first thing Monday morning his crew was at my place doing the removal.....And the greatest part of it all was that he didn't charge me for that second visit, which was 100% not their fault for missing the first time around. Again...I can only say the absolute most positive things about Dave and his company.... i have no connection to him, other than an extremely happy client!!! If I could give him a 15, i would!
