Remove asbestos wrapped piping, oil tank and old boiler
Purchased a new to us (80+ year old house) and was looking to finish the basement. As with many old houses, we had asbestos wrapped piping a massive oil tank to deal with. Called a few companies to give me a quote and eventually found Dave from Amosite on Homestars. He was easily accessible and came over the next day to take a look and walk me through the process in detail. He gave me a quote on the spot (which was significantly better than everyone else) and actually walked around the house with me as i pointed to various areas of concern. He even stuck his head into the attic to take a look at the insulation and confirm it didn't look like vermiculite, while others said they have to charge me for that!
Anyways, intentions were to remove the oil furnace eventually but we were forced to have it replaced a lot sooner as the old clunker gave out on us. Called Dave late on a Saturday night and his crew were in first thing Monday morning. I can not say enough good things about the level of work and satisfaction i have with this company. I highly recommend!
**EDIT** so, after Dave's team finished up their amazing job, my HVAC guy starts doing some work and we discover some additional asbestos wrapped piping in behind some bulkheads. HVAC guy stop working right away and we are now freezing in the house as there is no heat....Called Dave, yet again on a Saturday night, and first thing Monday morning his crew was at my place doing the removal.....And the greatest part of it all was that he didn't charge me for that second visit, which was 100% not their fault for missing the first time around. Again...I can only say the absolute most positive things about Dave and his company.... i have no connection to him, other than an extremely happy client!!! If I could give him a 15, i would!
