we comparison shopped and found the best price for seemingly similar quality at Alexanians. We were told it was a popular 'in stock' carpet and nooooo problem about having it in a timely manner. This is the Guelph store.

well there was a problem finding the carpet so a two week wait and three times we arranged to be home for installation and were cancelled at the last minute with little explanation and NO apology or regret.

how can a super friendly salesman turn into a complete opposite as soon as he has your Visa Number ..............which you have to give up front and is cashed instantly............customer satisfaction not a
consideration.

the Toronto office did get back in a timely manner to this review and I changed my rating from 0 to 3 although I was promised some compensation that has not arrived. the gentleman was very apologetic and had checked my story and found it accurate and was helpful.

the compensation did arrive in a timely manner actually and when I didn't find it on email, Mike called and sent it again and was very very courteous.............I would deal with this company again (although not the Guelph store)

My wife and I looked at a number of flooring companies but fell in love with the Preverco PreOil hardwood floors offered at Alexanian Carpet and Flooring in Burlington. We worked closely with Alisha who shared her expertise as we attempted to coordinate a complete main floor renovation including a complete kitchen remodel. Alisha's advise and colour selection was invaluable. She availed herself on a number of occasions to assist us with selecting the perfect hardwood and tile that complimented the new cabinetry, countertop, etc. An installation date was set. It was vital that the flooring installation began on time as it needed to be coordinated along with other tradespeople working on the project and any setback would have impacted the entire renovation process. Hugo (Huseyin) arrived on time and along with his co-workers, completed the project ahead of schedule. He was very personable, attentive to any questions we had and his workmanship was excellent. Moreover, at the end of each work day, the area was swept clean. At the end of the project, my wife and I were extremely satisfied. In addition, Hugo gave us his phone number and stated that should we have any issues, to contact him. A few days later, we notice a knot in one of the boards that had a slight crack. We contacted Hugo that evening. He stated that he was on vacation that week. Nevertheless, the next morning, Hugo was at our home repairing the flaw in the hardwood. In our opinion, this represents the spirit customer service.

During this three month renovation of our home, we needed to work with many individual companies and subcontractors, each with their understanding of effective customer service. It is people like Alisha and Hugo that made the entire renovation process worry free. As a result, it is without any hesitation that I would recommend Alexanian Flooring.

We recently had hardwood flooring installed in our hallway/livingroom/dining room/family room and tile laminate installed in our kitchen. We had amazing service from Day 1 both from how quickly Alexanian responded to my website request for a quote, to the prompt and friendly service from Matthew the salesman and Shawn the store manager in Whitby. We were thrilled with the quality of the products and very impressed with the high calibre level of service & installation from the crew Ryan & Richard. They were professional, friendly and polite. We will only consider Alexanian for next year when we plan to replace the carpet upstairs and in the bedrooms. Would absolutely recommend Alexanian in Whitby.

Val at the Burlington store was most professional and took time to review products and their differences. We decided on a premium quality engineered hardwood. Installation took three men three days. The installers were polite, worked with minimal noise, moved heavy furniture and swept up each day. They are taking care of some minor adjustments necessary as condo flooring can be uneven. Thank you to both Val and Ken. My husband and I would certainly recommend Alexanian for flooring needs.

Alexanian Newmarket recently supplied and installed our flooring in our newly renovated basement. We selected carpet and Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring and when everything was installed it looked fantastic!
Frank was extremely helpful and the installers were very professional.
I would definitely recommend their services.

Was renovating my spare room and required carpet to go around the bed but only in the form of a runner. Very satisfied with the workmanship and quality of service provided.

I was extremely pleased with my new carpet that I had installed from Alexanians Kitchener. It was a good experience fron the very beginning, starting with their courteous and helpful staff and ending with their skilled and polite installers. We have had carpet installed in the past from other places but I felt compelled to review Alexanians because not only were their prices better for comparable carpet at another location, their service I believe goes above and beyond what we've experienced in the past. My husband is a contractor so he now recommends Alexanians any time he is asked where a customer should go to get new carpets installed. We are both very happy with our new carpets and we are sure anyone else will be too.

We recently moved into a new home in Newmarket and we dealt with Frank at the Newmarket location of Alexanian Carpet. We purchased carpet for my upstairs bedrooms before we moved in. We then went back to see Frank to buy carpet for the basement and we also bought some shutters for our sliding glass doors and area rugs for our main floor.
In all our dealings with Frank, he was absolutely amazing. He came to the house and ensured that the measurements were perfect. His advice on the choice of carpet was extremely helpful. When the contractor spilled some stain on the carpet in the basement, he came to the house to advise us what to do. We are very happy with everything we purchased from Alexanian Carpet. We had a wonderful experience at the Newmarket location of Alexanian Carpet because of Frank and we would not hesitate to recommend that our friends see Frank at Alexanian Carpet for all of their flooring needs.

I've had a lot of contractors in and out of my home over the years, so I appreciate the good ones.

First off, sales: Alisha was very helpful with my flooring decisions and I appreciated her advice. She came to my home to measure and brought flooring samples so I could see the colours where they would "live".

Once the sale was done, I had two crews from Alexanian in my home: one for the main floor hardwood; another for the upstairs carpet.

The wood floor crew: Huseyin introduced himself and then got to work. I stayed out of their way, but I believe there were two or three women on the crew. This was clearly a subcontracted job. They did not greet me or introduce themselves, but simply set up a speaker and began to play loud music before getting to work.

My first complaint about the hardwood installation is that they left the doors wide open all day. This meant that every fly and moth in the neighbourhood flew in. I worked in my office upstairs while they worked downstairs, and sometime around mid-day, I realized that the music and hammering noise had stopped. I went down the stairs to find the house empty, my garage door wide open to the street, my back patio sliding doors wide open (screen door too), and my front door open.

The contractor's van was gone as well, so I presumed they had gone for lunch.

They hadn't let me know they were leaving. I was upstairs -- while all my doors were open, anyone could have wandered in and helped themselves to whatever was in my home and I would have just assumed that any sounds were coming from the flooring crew. With my garage door open, anyone might have come in and gone through my tools and supplies without my knowledge. I closed all the doors, but again, the flies, bees and moths had already made themselves at home.

Otherwise, the installation went okay. Not great, but just okay. There is a new large chip in one half-wall near the garage, and I hear "popping" sounds when I walk over certain areas, so my engineered wood feels more like a laminate. There was a gouge in one board, and Huseyin came back to "fix" it, but he simply coloured it with a black marker (borrowed from me) and it looked pretty bad. When I said that the "repair" wasn't right, he became annoyed and said that my floor was going to get marks on it and that I should learn to live with it. I asked to have the board replaced but later change my mind, as I was concerned that his repair might look worse than the gouge. The hardwood crew gets 1.5/5 stars.

Now, the carpet: A week after the wood floor, Zephara and another man came to install the carpet. Zephara introduced himself and looked at the plywood staircase that I had stripped, sanded and painted white (I had hoped to have a runner down the centre), and he kindly asked why I'd changed the work order to have the stairs fully carpeted.

I showed him the problems that were not fixable with a sander and paint, and he agreed that, while painted stairs and a runner would have looked nice, it wasn't going to work for my situation. (I appreciated the validation!)

He asked me to show him the area being carpeted and then cheerfully told me to "go and relax".

Zephara and another man (I didn't catch his name) were pleasant and respectful towards my home. They were very courteous. The second man carried the leftover carpet to my garage, and I propped open the door - he closed it when he was finished. (Little things make a difference).

We chatted a bit as Zephara worked on my stairs, and a few hours later, they had finished my carpet. It looks really great. (They even vacuumed up all the carpet bits!) Zephara pointed out the (nearly invisible) seams in the doorways and advised me not to drag furniture across them. I felt like they respected that this is my home and they did careful work. This carpet crew gets 4.5/5 stars.

I was very pleased by the prompt attention I received from Sammy Turkoz of the the Main Street West, Alexanian Carpet/Flooring company in Hamilton. My carpet had come loose at the doorway where the carpet met the tile of my bathroom floor. Even though I was well past my warranty date he came to the house and was able to solve the problem quickly and efficiently. The cost to me was -NOTHING. The service at that store has been consistently outstanding - from Duncan who first arrived at my home in Nov. 2014 to advise and to measure the space, to Sammy who came in Aug. 2016 to do a little trouble shooting.
