Aires Cooling And Heating

Purchased a furnace tune-up from Aires through Groupon. It was completely worthless because 4 days after they inspected it I woke up in the middle of the night to some awful loud screeching noises from the furnace. Had another company come in to inspect it and they found 2 of the 4 burners were running 50 degrees lower than it should be, the heat exchanger was broken, and motor was completely blown. The Aires technician missed all issues during his "inspection". What I was told by the other technician is the 2 burners looked to be broken for awhile which caused the other 2 to overcompensate which warped some components causing the catastrophic failure.

My Heat exchanger cracked which i was told was not repairable by two separate guys, Jason being one of them. I found these guys online and used their online booking system which was nice. They showed up on time and installed a dual stage American Standard furnace with 10 years warranty. Install took about 4 hours and I had heat. Very professional job, furnace room looks great now and the furnace is very powerful, takes 3 minutes to heat the whole house. The guys were neat and polite and even my dog liked them. I highly recommend.

We found this company as a reference from Enersource. The guy came a little late and told us that the blower motor is gone. He quoted us that it will cost us $45o. When the guy took out the motor, he told us that it is more powerful motor than he thought and he added another $30. While he replaced the motor, I looked on the internet for the prices - and the retail value of this thing is about $90-120US. Their hourly rate is $80 and it took about 1 hr to identify the problem and do repairs. They also charge 1 hr travel time. So, I told the guy that the price does not look fair ( $480 + GST = about $510). He called his boss and they redused it to total $467 - still too high I think.
