We bought our lovely new maple flooring from Hardwood Floor Center; the sales assistants were friendly, helpful and the price for the materials was excellent. HOWEVER, our experience turned sour after we'd paid for the floor and scheduled the delivery. HFC called the day before they were supposed to deliver and said they couldn't deliver anymore on the day we requested due to a double-booking. Since there was no other convenient day to schedule the delivery before the date we had booked our installer, we had to make two trips right across town in a borrowed SUV to fit the flooring boxes in and bring it home. Our delivery fee was refunded but we didn't get an apology for the inconvenience or any offer of compensation for the time (3hrs) and gas we used to get our flooring home. In summary, good range of products but we felt let down over the delivery.

Jeff came and jacked up my porch, which was leaning due to a poorly constructed pier. We didn't really know what to expect under there, so Jeff gave me a range of prices to expect for the work. Thankfully, Jeff ensured that it was a small job that came in at the lower end of his range. They did the work quickly, efficiently and left the place clean afterwards. He even fixed up my downspout for me. Overall, I was very happy with the job and the service I received.

I had Tom change the locks on my new home and he was punctual, efficient, knowledgeable and a genuinely nice guy. He did a good, fast job at a great price. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom and Victory Locks.

I hired Dominion to insulate the space under my flat roof. Brian the salesman came and quoted me a price based on the estimated roof area. However, the area sounded too large and when I remeasured the area myself, I found it was 25% less than he had estimated. I called him back and he remeasured and found that I was correct and he adjusted the price accordingly. But if I hadn't remeasured I would have overpaid by $200 -- not a great first impression. The guys came as planned to install the insulation and were efficient and the house is now much warmer. However, my roof required that many holes be drilled in the ceiling to make access points for the blown insulation. These holes created *a lot* of dust and required filling afterwards with drywall compound. The filling job was poor, because they did not have time to let the drywall set in the holes. As a result, it bulged out of each hole, looked very unsightly and created a job for me to fix. Also, they did vacuum but the dust got *everywhere* and I spent hours cleaning up afterwards. I felt I was not adequately briefed beforehand about how messy the job would be. So I had a very mixed experience with Dominion. The installation was fast, the insulation works well and the price was good. But the mistake with the quote and mess left behind were real negatives.

I hired Brent to do a home inspection on the property that I recently purchased. He was punctual, professional and always willing to explain what he found in simple enough terms. Brent always tried to estimate how much things would likely cost to repair, and the range of solutions available for any problem. He is also a genuinely nice guy and it was fun looking around my house with him. I would not hesitate to recommend Brent for a home inspection. Excellent service.

A very good move with Tender Touch. The preliminary information from the office was excellent. The movers showed up on time, were friendly and everything was as advertised. The job took about as long as estimated. They are certainly not the cheapest but it was worth the extra. One minor thing is that they charged me $6 for using some packing tape, which seemed a bit petty when I had spent $600 on the move. Overall I would recommend them for a stress-free move.
