Interior and exterior painting
Overall I am satisfied with the job this company provided. After voicing my (numerous) concerns they did follow through and fix the problem areas. The owner of the company is very concerned about customer satisfaction and negative reviews. I am appreciative of his good intentions and follow through. However, I feel that I must be honest about the overall experience. It took a very long time to achieve a satisfactory result. Problems with communication made the process somewhat unpleasant. I am sorry that I cannot give a stellar review, as it would not be honest or helpful to this company nor to future consumers.

As I mentioned in our conversation, I can really appreciate your concerns. However, the paint and wood condition to begin with was in really rough shape and had been painted numerous times. So our standard surface preparation would be to do what we did, which we strongly stand behind with our 2 year warranty. Furthermore, we are totally committed to your 100% satisfaction, so when you mentioned you weren't happy with the finish product, sending Serge back to do more is our brand and how we like to take care of our clients. Having said that, I'm at least happy you are satisfied with the final product after our most recent visit.
In the end, I can't change what has already happened, and am totally respectful and apologize for anything that didn't go the way you wanted. However, based on our conversation, hopefully you are encouraged enough to consider using us again in the future as we really do value your business.

Replacing skylight and re-shingling front of roof
I would definitely recommend the Cutting Edge roofers. They did a great job and we have had (finally!) no water come through our roof. Another company told us we had animal damage and charged us every time they came out to fix it. We trusted them but got suspicious when we kept getting water in our roof. Finally we called other companies to get another opinion and were amazed that it wasn't animal damage, but a problem with our skylight. We were most impressed with Robert because he was the only company that actually went up on our roof (in the rain!) and took pictures so that he could better explain the problem. He took the time to help me understand the problem and did not try to sell me unnecessary repairs. We went with him because of this and his past good reviews on Homestars. So far we have had no water problems at all (and this after two major torrential rain storms!). We would highly recommend him.

Exterior waterproofing of basement
We were very impressed with Darcy and his crew. He was always available and responded to our concerns immediately. They did a very professional job waterproofing our basement and when we encountered a problem along the way, he responded immediately and solved the problem right away. We found that Darcy was both professional and an all around nice guy, which made it very comfortable to work with him. We would highly recommend his company to anyone who is considering a waterproofing job.
