You have to oversee their workmanship, warranty is meaningless and unreliable in the long-term.
This project had a very promising start, but has transformed into another frustration with a contractor that disappears after getting paid. The owner of Aluminum Masters, Bledi, came highly-recommended. Even though they were the third-most expensive out of ten companies from which I got quotes, they offered a 10-year warranty on their labour. The labour and recommendation convinced me to hire them this past summer to do a complete overhaul of my eaves, soffits, facia, leaf guards, and drip edge. I gave them totally flexible timelines. Bledi directed his team, but did not directly do any of the work. The team was comprised of seasonal workers, except possibly one that was a regular of his crew. They were friendly and courteous, as was Bledi ... at least during the project. I was present throughout the few days it took to complete the work, and circulated to make sure that all the nuances that had been discussed, were in fact implemented as discussed. They did one major thing wrong with a downspout that had I not gone and done a tour of their work on the first major rainfall we had following the crew's departure, could have created a major flooding issue in my house. After I informed Bledi, he sent someone to fix the downspout and a couple of other issues/oversights that I brought to their attention about another downspout, a "shield" they forgot to put on an inside corner, and some gaps they had to fill in in the soffit. With the exception of some mangled roof shingles, and my having to clean up a lot of large and small debris that they had been left behind, the project seemed to have finished with no other issues. But I was wrong. When the leaves started falling, I noticed in two places that the leaf guard had collapsed into the trough, or not been properly screwed down. I'd pointed out to Bledi on numerous occasions that I was uncomfortable with how inconsistently the leaf guard had been laid down (i.e., the direction in which the overlapping sections were placed against the direction of the trough's slope), or that there was no overlap of certain sections of the leaf guard, which I felt could allow debris to fall into the small gaps. For these two last issues that arose a mere month or so after the installation had been completed, on Oct. 17 I texted Bledi and, without pushing for a priority rush, I asked him to come by and fix the issues. Even though I had provided another potential customer of his with a glowingly positive reference, I have yet to hear from, or see, Bledi or anyone from his team to fix the issues with the leaf guard. After multiple texts to him in which he falsely stated he would come "soon" or "that week", and phone calls to him that get forwarded to voicemail, I decided to write this review. He can redeem his reputation with me for this project, but my experience has been completely soured by his unresponsive, unprofessional attitude.
