The exposed aggregate walk leading to my front door had been losing rocks for the past couple of years and the surface had deteriorated to the point where it really needed to be replaced. I considered the recycled tire resurfacing options but decided a concrete replacement would be better even though it was more expensive. Caleb came out to give me an estimate in October and I decided to have the work done in the spring when the weather improved. Caleb contacted me in March to arrange a date and between his schedule and mine, the work finally started in June. Caleb did a fantastic job removing the current walk with almost no rocks or concrete fragments left behind (very hard when jackhammering concrete) and installing the new walk. Since I was working from home, I was able to take the occasional peek as Caleb worked. When he was putting the finishing touches on the surface of the walk, I could see that he took great pride in his work and wanted everything to be perfect. I would not hesitate in hiring him again for another concrete project.

Noticed that I had some cracked ridge caps on my concrete tile roof. Gave Crucial Roof Services a call and spoke with Greg. He came out the following day to take a look. He took photos of everything that needed work and provided them along with a detailed quote on what needed to be done to correct the problems. Since the manufacturer of my tiles, Columbia Tiles, was no longer in business, replacing the tiles was going to be difficult. Greg offered me the option of gluing lead sheets onto the existing tiles that needed repairs/replacement instead of replacing the tiles. This was a great low cost alternative and since I didn't mind the difference in colour, that was what I went with. Greg's crew came out a couple of days later when the weather cooperated and completed the job as described. What was really great was Greg sent me photos of the work that was done as well. Everything looked great and the area around my house was spotless.

Suspected plugged drainage system causing water to come up the foundation walls onto the walk in front of the house and my sump was buried in the front yard by either the builder or previous home owner. Filled in the contact form on Red Seal's website on the Fri before Family day and I got a call on Sat letting me know that they weren't open until Tue. Their office contacted me on Tue and booked an appt for Wed AM. Kevin showed up as promised in the morning and within an hour had located my sump using an inspection camera and locater receiver. Once he had uncovered the sump, he was able to determine that the drains for the roof gutters were clear but the perimeter drain tile was blocked by some roots. Once he cleared the root blockage (1 big and 1 small) water continued to flow continuously leading him to suspect that my main waterline was leaking. After shutting of the main waterline, he figured that we would need to wait for at least 30min to determine if the main waterline was indeed leaking. He left me with the shutoff key and promised to come back later while he went to take care of another job. Sure enough about 45min later, the water coming out of the drain tile had slowed to a tiny trickle. Kevin actually called to check on how things were going. At this point I turned the water back on. Kevin came back at the end of the day to collect the shutoff key and take some measurements so he could prepare a quote for a trenchless main waterline replacement. After comparing Kevin's quote for the waterline replacement and a riser extension with lid for my sump and a couple of quotes from other companies, I booked Red Seal to come back to perform the work. Kevin and Pablo did an excellent job of prepping for the waterline replacement. Damien, the operations manager, also came out to review what was going to be done and discussed a backup strategy in case the trenchless waterline replacement ran into problems. When everything was ready, the water was shutoff and the winch on a tow truck was used to pull the new pipe into place without any issues. Once the new pipe was in place, Kevin installed the new pressure reducing valve and then we flushed the pipes in the house. Pablo did a great job repairing the hole dug in my front lawn that was needed to attach the new waterline to the city supply. We were only without water in the house for about 2 hrs even though they were there for almost the whole day. Very happy with the work done by the Red Seal crew.

Jonas gave me a great price on 2 9x7 R16 steel garage doors that included installation, removal of old doors and a new door opener. He was the only estimator that noticed my old opener needed a repair. The installer did a good job and everything was clean. Still waiting for Jonas to come out for a minor adjustment though.
