contacted Talaska Inc. in the summer based on a referral from a colleague and was impressed right from the beginning. Ziggy listened to what I was envisioning, provided some suggestions and came in with a very reasonable and fair quote. With the go ahead, he and his crew returned the following week and worked hard to get the job done. He even stayed when the weather wasn’t co-operating because he wanted to make sure the job was completed on time! When the steps that were included in the quote weren’t available, Ziggy went out and found a better alternative but kept the cost the same - not many would do that. The completed walkway, garden wall and steps turned out amazing. Thank you Talaska Inc.

Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning replaced my parents furnace recently and they did a fantastic job. Marnie, one of the owners, took the time on a Friday late evening to explain which furnaces would best be suited for their home and did so patiently and in great detail. She was wonderful to deal with and their prices were very competitive. On install day, the 2 techs that came were professional, courteous and took time to explain their work which was done extremely well. They take great pride in their work and it shows. Would definitely recommend and use again!

We hired AGM to finish the basement in our Investment Property in Markham. Overall, the work completed was done very well and we are quite happy with the finished product. One critique is to carefully review the quote and make sure all of the items you think you may want are included as once the work starts any additions or changes that you may have thought were included could be charged as extras. Also, since the home was vacant it allowed AGM to come whenever they needed, however, as a result we never really knew who was in charge or if we had any questions we weren't clear on exactly who the project manager was. Their process of selecting your finishes was much like going to a Decor Centre for a New Builder Home purchase which was very convenient. The designer we had was helpful, however, once construction had commenced it became clear that the plans she had drawn could have been better prepared if she had visited the actual home instead of going off measurements provided to her from another person - we had to make a few changes to the plans based on plumbing location, duct work etc. that she was not aware of. As a final thought, good professional company, great quality of work, slightly priced at a premium but for the convenience of knowing exactly what you will be getting it may be worth it for some.
