We purchased the Rainsoft system in 2014 and are very pleased with its performance. Titus Paul was sent by Rainsoft at our request (to test our water) and was very knowledgeable about water purification systems. After lengthy discussion with Titus and research on our part, we decided to purchase the Rainsoft system. After installation of the system we find we drink more water, and our homemade soups and cooked vegetables taste better. Our dishes from the dishwasher are cleaner and free of spots and stains. Clothes also feel cleaner and softer. After taking a shower, both skin and hair feel softer than before. We regularly use humidifiers that spray a fine mist of water into the air. We noticed that there is no longer an accumulation of fine “calcium dust” on our furniture, which occurred when we used hard water in the humidifiers. We also feel that the cost of operating the system, for electricity and backwash water, is reasonable and is well worth it for the benefits obtained. We also found the service to be excellent and expedient. We are very pleased with our water.

Last year around this time we noticed that our home was quite cold and uncomfortable. At first we thought it may be the furnace or the windows but soon realized that the insulation in our 60-year old home was inadequate. Knowing very little about insulation we got out the phone book and called a few companies. We spoke to several and only a few wanted to come by to inspect the attic and provide a quote in person, one of those companies was Affordable Insulation. Jason came by and within a few minutes I had a good feeling about this company. Jason was professional, had a great attitude and was very knowledgeable. Prior to looking in the attic he spent time with us to get a better understanding of our concerns. This was appreciated and clearly shows that he wants us to be happy once the work has been completed. Jason then inspected our attic (I was surprised at how long he was up there) while going over a few things with my husband. It was during the inspection that he brought up a couple of issues that needed to be addressed prior to blow in. Jason was the only contractor that caught these issues. While providing a written quote, Jason went over our options, explained what’s involved as well as what to expect. Not once during this process did we feel any pressure. Jason made us feel comfortable and provided more than enough information for us to make an informed decision. At that point we knew this was the right company for us and proceeded to book a time for the work to be completed. On the day of the job Jason’s father Syd showed up on time and prior to insulating the attic explained the process while Rod took great care in protecting our home and getting it ready for the blow in. The job went just the way they explained and at the end they cleaned up and left the house the way they found it. We noticed an immediate difference in the comfort of the home and now that we have gone a full year with the new insulation we can honestly say that this has made a big difference and has saved us a lot of money on our heating and cooling bills.
