In the big July storm our backyard Maple suffered broken limbs that were being held up precariously by other branches. We called Upanoak Tree Care the next day and Darryl came by that afternoon. He explained everything and what needed to be done and what could wait. He and a colleague came the next day as promised and trimmed the tree, removing the dangerous broken branches without dropping anything into our neighbours yards and cleaned up the mess afterwards. Job well done!

We were lucky to find Steve before he was on Homestars. We had already met with a bunch of other carpenters but Steve stood out with his fair price and professionalism. We could not be happier with the final results. Steve is a master carpenter and extremely knowledgeable about his craft and all aspects of building in general. He and his crew worked efficiently within our tight budget and on our even tighter timeline. He always answered our phone calls and came when he said he would (a very big deal to us!) Steve is also a great problem solver which was invaluable on our project which hit a bunch of unexpected snags along the way as any project invariably does. Everyone who has seen his work at our house has been impressed. Thanks so much Steve for a job well done!

We had a few bad leaks in our rented out basement and in panic called around to companies that would waterpoof basement foundations. Jeff was one of about ten different contractors we spoke to. Jeff seemed to be the most fairly priced and knowledgable so we went with him. He could have told us to waterproof the whole foundation but instead said we only needed to do the back wall of the house. We were very impressed with the crew Jeff sent - they actually showed up every day they said they would (this is huge as I'm sure anyone who has dealt with contractors or repair people know). Scott and the rest of his crew were very friendly,worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves. We have since had several big rains and no water in our basement. Thank you to Jeff Roberts and his crew - you're the best and we will happily recommend you to everyone we know.

We needed a small window in our bathroom shower stall replaced on a tight timeline. We called Sobol Inc based on the Homestars recommendations and we couldn't be happier. Within a day of e-mailing, Archie came out (exactly at the time he said he would) measured our window and quoted us at a much lower price than everyone else we spoke to. The window actually arrived early! Again, Sobol Inc arrived to put in the window exactly when they said they would, very neatly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this company.
