Tom was great, gave me quote and booked over the phone. Called to say he was on his way. (good communication) really nice guy, he is the right guy for the job. Ensured job done proper, so he didn't have to come back. Let me check the work. Answered all questions fairly. Estimated the life on my roof and rough cost to replace in the future. Look forward to using Tom again he it the right guy for the job.

Discovered some insulation/moisture issues from a previous basement reno done poorly, and wanted to get garage re-insulated as well as we have room above that's always cold and window frame completely drafty, large gaps in construction/ support walls letting in too much cold and causing mositure. Finished Basement was way too cold and drafty - didn't want to hang out there. Always wanted spray foam as performance is very high and no vapor barrier needed, perfect for basements and concrete walls, as they have special issues compared to other floors of house. (moisture) Read about Peter from RFD and had him do spray foam insulation on complete basement and full garage, including ceiling and all walls. Communication was excellent with Peter and he always called back, even if being late, etc no surprises or lack of knowing what's going on. Never hesitate to answer my questions or concerns and I called him several times. Always took the time to answer. Peter showed up with his dad and they are a great combo, they believe in doing the job right and care about their work. This is important. Speaking with them together they have a lot of experience which is good and well rounded. Reminds me of my dad and I somewhat as well. I called him back to touch up some small spots because of difficult ceiling overhang that was not really taken out, they didn't hesitate and came back no problem. This is what you want and the right thing to do if you ever have to call someone back. The service and support is there. Some clean up was required as Peter did not have his vacumme with him, however the basement at that point was partially finished just didn't want to drag all through the house. THey did cover up and staple plastic, sweep etc and vent fumes outside. Ideally this is something that you would want done at the stage of unfinished areas or construction, but can be done on existing homes or previous finished basement. Spray foam performance made my basement the warmest level on a two story house, had to reduce heating duct as it was too warm!! Basement is completely sealed now from many drafts and sill plate leaks before. No more moisture issues or mold, nothing. In my area of houses 27 years old, the basement was not well constructed to be well insulated either, so spray foam really helped. My neighbor wants a new fireplace installed in her basement as a result. However this has been a better investment now the basement is comfortable you actually WANT to use the space and has more utility now. Word of advice, get all changes, electrical, framing or anything else done before spray foam is in, much easier to work with on previous finished. Give installer as much room as possible as they only really have a paint gun size to work with. Thanks for the hard work and good job. Appreciate what this gives back now.

Had some leaking eavestroughs, some sections were bent/damaged and not level, causing water to run down the side of my house where foundation crack was. Wanted to resolve this asap don't need any water running down in this spot. Got recommended from neighbour last year and got new eavestrough installed and some extra work old chimney removed. John came to do quote and had no problem answering all my questions. Communication was excellent, emails and phone calls returned very promptly. On time as per schedule. Minor change with crew and it was communicated before hand. Communication very important and got it right. Crew of 3 showed up and were polite, dismantled eavestroughs, cleaned up mess and took everything away. They listened to my concern about stuffing old chimney with insulation once cut off. They removed old leaking metal chimney and installed new plywood/shingles in place. No more leak! Now new oversize eavestroughs installed, it rained twice and I checked for leaks. No drips, leaks, everything working as it should! Very happy now not have to worry about dripping and risk of overflow. Thanks again and will recommend to others for good service and install.

Last summer had windows done recommended by neighbour. Steve was the best price of 3 quotes, price wise. Did full install brick to brick. They were on time, surprising fast (whole house done 2 days) and seemed professional. Windows seem very good quality and got a deal with free colouring as North Star windows had a promotion. Some small amount of material was found outside however 99% was cleaned up, old windows and garbage taken away. Final siding work below bay window was excellent, window trims very clean, fit and finish work looked really good. I was impressed until winter came. Found some issues was not happy with, one basement window was not insulated because of inside framing they can't access, this caused 1/4 inch of frost on wood window sill during cold days which lead to it dying and soaking in, moisture in wood. Don't want any mould, can't say this is proper way to leave things. Garage window had insulation areas missed, almost looked like the spray can ran out of foam and installer missed the line between window and frame about 5-6 inches total. This did matter as significant cold draft, moisture was coming in during winter, which I found. I called Deb to report this and said I would send a picture, she said "no" don't send a picture. Asked for someone to come and resolve, nobody showed up. Had issue with patio door, gap between door sill and patio door, steve came out and put a shim in. Now the door had a cold draft coming under it felt on the inside, I called back, Steve did not believe me and said 25 years that has never happened, I was not calling just to make things up for no reason, I told him to check him self, and after unpleasant conversation with Steve he said fine, I'll come out on Friday, however nobody showed up. Big let down. Post customer service on the phone needs improvement from both, you need to take care of your customers, listen and understand their concerns. Not have heated arguments is no way to treat your customers if you want them satisfied. At no time did I raise my voice, insult I only reported problems I am trying to work with you to resolve together. However company is very defensive and unpleasant on call backs and does not always show up or communicate/ call to cancel or re-schedule. Also you need to explain the impact to customers when you don't install insulation on certain widows, what they can expect and what they will have to do with cold drafts, moisture and water as a result. At least 3-4 windows had signed and proof of this. This part did not meet my expectation from a window company. I have since resolve the insulation issues myself since they did not show up when they said on Friday over a month ago, I do not want to speak with them any more not worth it begging them to resolve and deal with unpleasant phone conversations. Moving on now. If I could go back, I would not choose them again.

Been using Glen for 8 years now, found him on google. First it was mice, he sent a worker who was very professional, followed up and left a neatly written report with my tenant. Problem resolved and price was right compared to the big publicly traded pest control companies. Now I use Glen for my annual carpender ant invasion which drives me nuts but glen is amazing guy, friendly, good service and comes back when I call. He does resolve problem after learning through experience how complex and difficult these ant invasions can be. Taking care of your customers is the most important and will keep me coming back and recommend to neighbours and others. Glen does a great job with this so keep it up we do appreciate it. Strongly recommended. Great company/ guy.

Had new garage door installed 2 years ago, deluxe door insulated and finished both saids. Salesman was great, polite and professional. (not pushy and did not talk down other companies) Door was installed great, installer was on time, and got the job done. Cleaned up after him self, took old door away. I would say everything went perfect. Now this year I called regarding bottom door weather strip, they were able to resolve my issue and understood my concern, Angela was a pleasure to deal with my wife picked up new weather strip from Richmond hill Office. Thank you for taking care of your customers if you run your company this way you are worth the money and recommendation over anyone else hands down.

Saw these guys had strong rating on homestars and called them, they called me back shortly after. Scheduled a quote, they were on time and professional, the owner's wife came out with one worker and he was polite and professional. Seemed very honest about the best way to resolve basement water leak from crack in foundation on outside. He explained the process, quote very reasonable, I got the work done in March, surprised they could do it this early. He showed me when they dug to the bottom, all the material used and weeping tile replaced. 25 year guarantee. Did not hesitate to put cement on inside of crack when I asked and another crack on other side that was not leaking, however needed this done as I will be refinishing basement with new insulation on wall. Would strongly recommend. No problems so far, thank you again job well done.
