I have nothing but high praise for Darby and his team. This was our third project with Mud Monkeys for (in two different locations), and this time it was an interior waterproofing job for part of our basement and cold room. Darby made the whole process so easy to manage. He is such a professional and knows how to address the quirky and often complex water problems experienced by the owners of old Toronto houses. The project started and finished on time, and the guys did a great job of cleaning everything up at the end. Darby's prices are extremely fair and competitive. This is the third time I've hired Convertible in three years. The first time (for our previous home) was for Central AC. The second was in our current home for a combi boiler and today was the third time for a ductless AC unit. After the first job, I didn't bother calling any other company for the other two jobs because I knew I wouldn't be able to find anyone else who could do the job for a fair price, but more importantly, do such professional work. These guys go to the moon and back to ensure a top-notch installation. Today's job was definitely not easy, with limited and very awkward space and a tricky pathway from the outside AC unit to the electrical panel. Roop warned us that he'd have to cut some holes in the basement ceiling, but at the end of the day, he found a way to wire everything in without making a single cut in the ceiling - truly a miracle as far as I'm concerned. Many thanks to Marnie, Roop and Josh for tracking down a unit that would fit in the small space and for a truly excellent service experience from beginning to end.

This is the second time we have used Convertible Heating and AC for a major job in our home. This time we hired them to remove the old hot water heater and boiler, and replace with a combi boiler system. From beginning to end, I felt like we were in great hands. Marnie the consultant was very thorough in her assessment of our needs, and was very helpful in providing two sets of quotes and setting up financing. Tom and his installation partner did an excellent job in the installation - very tidy and thorough. We have been impressed with this company both times we have worked with them, and would not hesitate to recommend them highly to future customers.

We hired Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning to install central AC in our old semi-detached home in Toronto. I was impressed with the company from beginning to end. The initial phone estimate was consistent with the estimate we received after the site visit. During the site visit, Mike did an excellent job of working with our preferences as well as doing everything within his power to keep costs down. Convertible gave us the lowest quote on the installation by a few hundred dollars. Although we hired them to complete the work during the busy season, they were able to schedule the installation within one week. This was really important to me, because I'm 37 weeks pregnant and it's been difficult to cope during the heat waves, so it was really wonderful that they could schedule us in so quickly. As for the installation, we were so impressed by the work. Our basement is finished, and we were expecting to have to make some fixes to the walls or ceiling after the installation. Amazingly, the guys installed the entire system within making any cuts to the walls or ceiling!! They were really creative in figuring out all the connections, and the job was finished very cleanly. My only minor complaint in the whole experience was that there was some poor communication around scheduling on the day of the appointment, but this is fairly minor in the big picture. Overall, I would definitely recommend this company, and would most certainly hire them again for any future work related to our furnace or AC.

I was referred to Mud Monkeys by a friend but also got several quotes from a variety of companies to waterproof the entire southern length of our basement foundation. From the beginning, I was so impressed with Darby's professionalism, and it was obvious to me from the start that these were the guys for the job. He provided a few different quotes with different scenarios, always responded promptly, provided detailed explanations of the work, and was able to offer us a slight discount when I said I was choosing between two companies. The guys on the job were also very professional. They maintained a clean and safe workspace, and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. They gave honest assessments of the condition of our foundation wall, and I felt as if I could trust their judgement. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company, and would definitely work with them again in the future.

I called around a half a dozen plumbing/drain companies for estimates. From the very beginning, I was so impressed with DrainCom's employees. They were so professional. They did their best to help me save money, rather than trying to sell me products and services I didn't need. I felt like I could totally trust them. In the end, Borys did most of the work. We had a very complicated basement drain issue, and he ended up spending around 15 hours working on the problem on three separate occasions. The first time he came, he still much longer than he had anticipated, which meant that he ended up leaving late on a Friday evening. He was always really patient and good humoured about things, and extremely competent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company, and will call them again for all my future plumbing needs.
