Toughroof has to be the BEST option for flat and low-slope roofs. I was originally sold a bill of goods by Custom Metal Roofing (metal roof for 0.5/12 slope roof), and it was 8 months of nightmare, still not over, 2 years later. After doing my homework (thoroughly this time), considering all the hi-tec systems, I decided I wanted more than a "thin fabric" on my house. Tughroof was a natural choice. They removed the junky tin rooof, and installed the new roof in a matter of a few days. 3/4" of rubber-bitumen, with a polymeric ("suntan lotion") topping. They also did all the parapets, everything. Had 1 small issue with some of the polymeric layer lifting and they were back in a flash before this winter to fix it (no leaks, I just want to make sure I'm good for the long-term). The staff are all excellent, friendly, responsive, they take care. If you are thinking about Toughroof, I would be pleased to share my experiences and show you my roof. Go for it.

Tried all the big box stores, always a problem finding someone, then when they get there they have no knowledge of the product. Blinds to go were very knowledgable on their products, gave us excellent advice, and delivery was a couple of days, I was quite amazed. Best of all they keep all your details on file so in a year or 2 if you are looking for something thme colour they know what you bought last time. Price, I don't know what everyone else charges, but it didn't seem cheap nor overly expensive. They do however seem good quality, so I am very pleased overall.

A Metal (aluminum) Roof was installed on a 0.5-in-12 roof (my house) in April 2010. CMR assured me that the roof was suitable for the application. The roof leaked fom the first rains, at the lower edge - capillary action was pulling the water back up under the roof sheets. This problem was confirmed by my observations, 3 industry professionals and my building inspector. It took a long time for CMR to come out to attempt a repair - I was told this was their busy season. When they eventually came, on 3 occasions they simply tried to apply silicone to fix the problem. IMO this is not a suitable barrier against the elements. Not once did they ever apply water to see the problem, nor did they see the roof in the rain. With winter approaching, with advice from 3 roofers, the roof was lifted and ice-and-water shield applied. This stopped 90% of the leaking, but the wood was still getting wet. Without CMR's cooperation, with the water ingress, one winter would damage the engineered beams. I was forced to replace the roof. To this day CMR tell me that a) the roof wasn't leaking, and b) that I caused the leak. I have good information from a number of industry professionals, websites and aluminum sheeting suppliers (all verbal, nobody wants to put anyrthing in writing) that this type of roof is not suitable for under 2.5 to 3-in-12 roof slopes. I still maintain aluminum roofing is a good product, I was simply sold the wrong product for the application, and CMR were unwilling to step up to the plate and addmit it. I believe (and I am not alone) that there was no way they could ever have made this roof work. They cite many similar projects being successful. My question is what damage is being done on a constant basis? Small amounts of water leaking oover a period will cause long-term damage, that they will be unaware of. If my roof were out or warranty I would not go back to the original supplier that caused the problem in the first place. Of course they would be unaware of such problems. I would not recommend CMR because of their lack of product knowledge, dishonest practices and unwillingness to honour their warranties.

Startech did an amazing job on our house. We added a second floor, and stucco being the single largest expense one is always nervous about the company doing a good job. The craftsmen were just that, craftsmen, they took their time doing it all right, taped all the windows, everything is level, and they got the colour spot-on! We love the job, and would seriously recommend Startech to anyone. Thanks Sean

I bought flooring from Nadurra, then they found out the colour I bought was on back-order, so I waited 5 months for the wood to come in. When it came in, I had to pick up the wood myself from the warehouse (surprise!). Then once I got a large portion of the wood up to the 2nd floor, I started opening boxes I found they had packaged 2 different colours in boxes all marked the same. They offered no solution except to refund me. It was left to me to carry the wood down. A huge effort for nothing. Then, they short-changed me on the refund. They seem to have a nice product, good luck getting it/getting it rigth. Customer service is obviously not their strong-point. I have nothing good to say about Nadurra.

I hired Yanif, the owner to pour some concrete footings for me. The short story is that there was little or no cement in the mix, and it crumbled from day 1. It cost me $1500 to temporarily support my 19'x9' roof, hire an excavator to dig out the crumblimb mess and re-pour the footings. I still ahve to make good the extensive mess from the digger. Even worse is that despite repaeted assurances that he will fix the problem, I have not seen him again, and he still has not refunded me the $200. This is one dishonest person, stay far away from Postpro! (his M.O. is to recruit victims from the line-up at the renatal counter at Home Depot)
