In 2021, we had noticed water pouring out of the eavestroughs during heavy rain. Several contractors recommended replacing all the eavestroughs and quoted for this. We contacted Neethan who climbed up and inspected, and reported that he saw no reason to replace all the eaves, maybe just cleaning out leaves and re-caulking. After he cleaned out the leaves, water was no longer pouring out of the eavestroughs during the next heavy rain. Due to his honest assessment in 2021, I contacted Eaves Experts in 2023 for another successful cleaning. We are satisfied with the service and honesty provided by Eaves Experts.

I had A1 Quality Chimney do a chimney cleaning and inspection. We had draft issues and they recommended installing a Chimney Lock Top, which they did on a separate visit once we confirmed. The individuals were professional and the cleaning quote was well priced compared to others. This work was done back in 2021, and I'm only writing the review now after going through old records.

Perry and his team fixed our flat roof, partial shingles, replaced down spouts, and gutter guards. He also patched the chimney and applied a membrane around it. Satisfied with the work. He also came back to the site later on to inspect / fix potential leaking. This work was actually done in 2017 and I'm writing this review now after reviewing old invoices.

Igor and his team carried out internal waterproofing, new concrete floors, drains, sump pump, and backwater valve in our basement. Very happy with the pace and professionalism. Igor honoured an older quote and also had his guy come back to fix an issue we found with the drain location. He's extremely responsive and stands by his work. Pleased with the job results and would recommend.

I had my lead water service piping replaced by another plumbing company. Part of the piping (copper joint) started leaking the day after. The other company failed to return and fix the issue. After several weeks of leaking, I hired Hoerner to inspect and fix the issue. I was originally quoted a higher price during the inspection; the work ended up taking less time, and the plumber reduced the invoiced amount based on the actual time he spent. Great honesty. Would work with them again for any major plumbing repairs. This actually happened in Dec 2016 but I'm only writing this review now.

Our basement flooded recently with the heavy rains in Southern Ontario. This made our existing mould problem significantly worse. Warren came in to give a quote on short notice on the weekend. After examining the situation and the strong odour that was spreading to the rest of the house, Warren offered to put up a containment barrier by himself and retrieve one of his HEPA air blowers/filters to help contain the mould and odour to the basement through negative air pressure. This was done without any commitment to further work at the time. Warren was reasonable and flexible with his pricing and timing to start - offering to start the next workday. The work involved removing all carpeting and underpadding, cabinetry, the majority of drywall, plastic walling in the washroom, and a bathtub, followed by mould treatment/cleaning. During the work, I did have to remind his team to seal off one of the ceiling vents, which they had missed/forgot. However, I did not experience any other issues, and his team was always punctual and on time for the days of the job. Warren's responsiveness (always answers calls or returns calls quickly), courteousness, and accommodation for small details set him apart from some of the larger and more reviewed mould remediation companies, and ultimately made the difference in choosing A1 Eco. I am very satisfied with my overall experience with A1 Eco, Warren, and his team.
